I feel good because I think we had a very spirited conversation. I'm a little disappointed that the mindset of some of my counterparts are are to the degree that it is, you know, the the kind of that victim mentality. I you know, my platform is based on overcoming that and based on criticizing that at every ever at every end and just seeing young people still carry that mint mentality is a little disappointed, but I think we had a spirit.
I agree. And just backing up, what made you interested in doing the show? Have you ever done anything like this before?
I actually was on Jubilee a long time ago. It was it was conservatives, uh conservative men versus trans men or something like that. So I thought that Jubilee does do a really good job of being fair and impartial and setting up a professional environment. And and I learned a lot from that first one because when I saw it, I said, trans men, that's a weird combination of people. Conservative men, trans men. I've never met a trans man before. I'll tell you what, by the end of the conversation we had. had everybody took a a group picture together and we realized that we have some differences but at the end of the day we're all human. And I love the fact that these groups that would normally not come together had a chance to come together.
And I said, you know what, when I was, you know, presented with the opportunity to potentially to do one again with Jubilee, I said, Yeah, I think this is great. And I've seen a few of them. I seen Charlie Kirk do one of the s a similar thing. I saw I think Candace Owens did one. Uh Dave Rubin did one. It was a couple other people that I've seen that have done. Uh what what is his name? Patrick B David did one, which I thought was very interesting. So I was like, you know, that's uh it'd be a good opportunity to have good communication with the other side.
Exactly. I that's my favorite part of the show, being able to agree, to disagree. I felt like you kept your composure. Sometimes the episodes can get really spicy and really argumentative and I didn't feel like yours was, so I really respected it.
Yeah, and and I I I never I'm not good for television and entertainment to be honest, uh some degree because I'm not going into it trying to create a highlight tape. you know, trying to be seen and be, oh, I'm gonna do this, or I'm a school these people. I really didn't want to go there unless I was gonna engage in a conversation and and try to listen to people from the other side. I already know what I believe. I can't assume what they believe. So, you know, I think that a a little bit of it was a little slower than people may be used to 'cause some people get right into the clash and conflict. I literally wanted to hear them out and and and and and build a a a a response to what they actually said to me.
And I wanted to be respectful. It it is not conducive to just berape people and yell over them. And and I I just don't think I could do that on my own time. So I really wanted to get something from uh hearing from the other side 'cause maybe there's something that could be said that I could change on, that I can learn from. So
Did you feel like anything from this episode changed your views or any perspectives you had?
One of the young men I felt like we didn't disagree as much as I thought that we would. Meaning I figured the mentality of a lot of the black liberals would be so polar opposite that we can agree to disagree and but we would not hang out after the event, right?
