Yeah, uh feel feels like this is gonna be um uh I was gonna say a saga. I'm not sure it'll become a saga, but it definitely feels like it's gonna rumble on for a bit in the summer. Um Essentially it's it's sort of out there that the city have had uh an offer of a hundred and twenty million rejected by Forest for Anderson. Um that's a hundred and six million up front with the rest in add ons. Um For us to turn that down, they want Somewhere in the region of a hundred and twenty million up front, which feels ambitious. Um And City have now gotta establish their next move, obviously. complicated by the fact that Elliot Anderson is at the World Cup with England and England's first game I think is Wednesday. Um So
you would imagine that if a deal can't be sort of struck and completed in the next seventy two hours or so, it's gonna be difficult or certainly more difficult. To get that. over the line. Um in the tournament and the games are coming every three or four days and England might have six, seven, eight games to play in a World Cup as well. So, um, that's why I get the feeling it could run on a little bit. I think the players' preferences to come The city. Um But Forest have got a chairman in Maranakis who uh is not afraid to stand his ground um and is proving uh difficult to deal with. Um you can see why Forest won That much money for a player who is starting for England or is going to start for England in a World Cup.
He's got three years left on his contract, I think. He's twenty-three. He's shown how good a player he is, um, since he's moved to Forest. I wouldn't have thought there's been too many occasions where there's been a starting player for England at a World Cup. from a team that was seventeenth or wherever Forrest ended up finishing.
