Why I fight for the education of refugee girls (like me) | Mary Maker

15 Aug 2018

Description

After fleeing war-torn South Sudan as a child, Mary Maker found security and hope in the school at Kenya's Kakuma Refugee Camp. "For the child of war, an education can turn their tears of loss into a passion for peace," Maker says. For a chance to give your own TED Talk, fill out the Idea Search Application: ted.com/ideasearch.Interested in learning more about upcoming TED events?
