Several of their members will be with us to talk about their presentations during the Convention. Join Jeff Bishop, Randy Knapp, Danette Dixon, Becky Dunkerson, Tom Tobin, and Larry Gassman. Topics for discussion during this Diabetes 101 seminar include: Thriving and Living with Diabetes , Diabetes and Nutrition 101. Current nutrition trends their impact on diabetes, challenges to healthy eating, sick days, holidays, traveling and dining out. Tips for healthy grocery shopping and meal planning. Diabetes and Fitness 101 Join us to learn about the importance of exercise and how it plays a role with managing diabetes. The plan is to cover the differences between an active and inactive person. Diabetes and Advocacy 101 Learn what ACB and ACBDA are doing to promote advocacy in affordable medication and accessible durable medical equipment for those with diabetes. Also learn more information about advocating for yourself and being your advocate with your medical team.
