I want to say thank you to all of you for listening and watching to this podcast. I got an invite to go and see that. It was really nice that people reached out to me to go and watch it. Wonderful experience. And what I'm doing here is similar on the non-spoiler show. I'm going to go through listener questions for Disclosure Day and I'm going to share my thoughts on the movie from start to finish. I've only seen it once. I couldn't make notes during the movie or didn't have anything to make notes. I had to put my phone away. I do have some immediate notes from afterwards.
How does the private contractor Wardex play a role in the story?
So what I'm going to do, I think, is basically from the get go, I'm going to give you a quick run through of the movie off the top of my head. pretty much spoiling a lot of it um you will i have not got everything written down here i've seen it once and this is let me just frame this is all my opinion i'm doing this fresh i say fresh i'm really tired um i was up really late last night and I had to travel back from London this morning. I've got questions from all of you around the movie, and I'll just go through those in no particular order. I want to say now, and I'll say this again at the end, please go and see this movie. Regardless what I say, good, bad, or indifferent, I think people should go and see it.
I'm going to go see it again, see if it changes anything for me, again, positive or negative. But what we have is an opening scene where it's a wrestling event. Love that. You know I'm a wrestling fan.
What are the implications of the alien device revealed in the movie?
It's at a wrestling event. Daniel, the guy you see in the trailer who's stolen the secrets, has his backpack and he's hiding out. Folks from... the government we find out this company Wardex which is the private contractor chasing him down throughout the movie and keeping the secrets they try to catch him they get him outside he's got his bag they've stole all the hard drives and they're going through to check what he's got he's got files he's got hard drives and they're holding him kind of hostage out the back of this wrestling arena um they've got his girlfriend they've kidnapped they give her back and they are looking for a device so they've got the files they've got the hard drives that he's stolen but they're looking for a device and they open this case that's supposed to be in and throughout the movie you know the trailer you see emily blunt remember folks last time i'm probably going to say it several times spoilers but you know the device that emily blunt's holding in her hand and colin first holding in her hand that lights up so that plays quite a big part throughout the movie um
he pulls that out they all say don't squeeze Colin Firth who is like the big baddie in the movie is like don't squeeze it don't squeeze it you know it'll activate and it's really dangerous so they all put their guns down he manages to escape with his girlfriend okay we don't quite know yet what it does but we know it's powerful enough that everyone backs off him we then see Emily Blunt who is Margaret the weather girl we meet her and her boyfriend we get the whole situation of she wants to move he doesn't In this scene, the cardinal bird flies into the window. And here's something, folks. Again, I'm totally let loose on this in terms of spoiler territory, and I'm doing it off the cuff. When we were told we do not see any of the final third in the trailers for Disclosure Day, that was absolute bollocks.
