Um but let's talk about the finals before we jump into that. Crazy series, varying crazy. Um Vegas. Coming out of the best division in hockey, of course. Storming their way to the Stanley Cup final.
As everyone has known all year, that the Western Conference would be represented by the Pacific Division. Very predictable. Sleeping giants, all of them.
The pillow fight had one pillow with a rocks in 'em, apparently. That's
right. No one said anything. Prison style.
That's right. But they man, they took care of business, they took care of Colorado. Like rather convincingly I would say. It wasn't Yeah. You know, Colorado was banged up, Kale McCarr was hurt, I Nathan McKinnon got banged up. They were I don't know, they ran out of gas, whatever the case, but man, Vegas when when the chips are in the middle of already. You know?

Um, and we were just talking about it the other day and he was asking me questions like, okay. How you know a GM Building a team like We were just talking about all that and and since he's new he he asked me some questions. And I just concluded and we've concluded on on the show too, the amount of randomness that goes into building a team that goes into Even drafting, scouting, pro scouts, amateur scouts, hiring a GM. The amount of randomness that is involved in the game of hockey, both on the ice in the game and everything surrounding it, is overwhelming at times, man.

Like it really is. And and 'cause he's a Minnesota Wild fan. That's the team he's elected to to cheer for. Any
particular reason why or was it like a I like the colors.
I think it's everything, right? Like I think he liked the trajectory they were at, liked the players, likes the GM, doesn't like the coach, whatever the case. Like he's
he
picked the wild. Um And he was very hard on the wild after they lost to Colorado. And then lo and behold, like Colorado gets stomped by Vegas. And so that's where the conversation started. It's uh and I concluded like, man, there's ten teams max every year where you look at 'em and you're like, maybe.
Mm-hmm.
And that's it. That's all you hope for as a GM and as a fan is like, are you in the maybe bucket?
