Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
So here's the deal. The hard left is not just wrong. They are not just being stupid. Many of them are literally working for and with enemies of the United States, which is why podcaster and streamer Hassan Piker was just subpoenaed by the Justice Department. Hassan Piker is not the victim of some right-wing persecution.
Chapter 2: What allegations are being made against Hasan Piker?
He allegedly aided the Cuban communist regime, which should not be a shock. The guy's an actual communist. I mean, yeah, he shops at Cartier, but he's still a communist. And yes, he aided America's enemies, allegedly. And he's not the only one. Democrats are running a congressional candidate who allegedly worked with an Al Qaeda front group.
They're running another candidate in Michigan who's legitimately a terrorist supporter. It's why even on Memorial Day, leftists were holding hands with the Iranian mullahs and illegal immigrants. It's also why the left is turning even harder to the left every day. They think that's where the energy is. Yes, we now have the Democrats' 2024 autopsy. It shows exactly what you would think.
They went nuts, and then they lost. But Democrats are ignoring that autopsy because instead they've decided to steer toward the socialist left that hates pretty much everything that makes America awesome and successful. Instead, they'd like to punish innovation and success to reward terrorist sympathizers. And most of all, most of all, the hard left wants control. Here's the big question.
Will we, the American people, give them that control? That's the only question that matters. We'll get to all of that, plus the latest updates from the Texas Senate primary on the Republican side, breaking news on negotiations over the Iran war, and a quick tour of the failed state that is California. This is The Ben Shapiro Show. Well, over the weekend, Hassan Piker got really, really sad.
He got really, really sad because it turns out that federal officials served subpoenas to him as well as to Code Pink co-founder Susan Medea Benjamin, who is a nut job. All of this, according to Fox News, is part of a wider investigation into whether U.S. organizations and leaders violated U.S.

Chapter 3: How are Democrats linked to terrorist affiliations in New Jersey?
laws and sanctions in supporting Cuba's communist regime. Now, again, you can visit Cuba. You actually can. But you're not allowed to stay at particular hotels that are linked with the government or the military. And you're certainly not supposed to bring aid to, you know, the actual government and military.
Well, apparently, Piker and Benjamin are among the people who've been caught in this federal inquiry into whether activists who traveled there violated sanctions law, including potential contacts with Cuban government personnel or entities on the island. So there are some administrative subpoenas, according to the Fox News website, called Requests for Information, RFI.
They seek financial, logistical, and communications information revolving around trips. There were two big trips that were bragged about. Delegations from the Nuestra America Convoy, or Our America Convoy, which brought together, as you recall, a bunch of left-wing nutjobs to travel around in dinky carts to basically poverty tour.
And you remember, we played clips on the show of Hasan Piker staying at a five-star hotel with air conditioning, talking about how everybody in Cuba was actually super-duper-duper happy being in the heat without air conditioning or electricity, you know, as a communist would. Well, it turns out that this entire shebang has been financed, apparently, according to Fox News, by Roy Singham.
Roy Singham lives in China. His name is Neville Roy Singham. He has pumped some $278 million into nonprofit groups that have been pushing pro-China, pro-Cuba, anti-U.S. narratives and street protests for almost a decade. Well, especially since he got married to the Code Pink co-founder, Jody Evans.
Again, as you will notice, one of the people who's been caught up in the federal investigation is Medea Benjamin, who is Code Pink. Code Pink received $1.33 million from Singham after he married Evans. So what precisely did Hassan Piker do?

Chapter 4: What does the Democrats' 2024 autopsy reveal about their strategies?
Well, there are allegations that Nuestra America Convoy, which is this group that he went with, brought supplies directly to the Communist Party of Cuba.
There are allegations that they stayed at a five-star hotel on the Cuba restricted list because of ties with Cuban government and military, and that he participated in and financed a coordination flotilla without a license from the Treasury Department. Now, the punishments can be somewhat severe here.
if there is a civil punishment that happens under what's called legally a strict liability standard. A strict liability standard means I don't have to prove intent. So if you just stayed at that hotel and you ended up funding the Cuban government, you could have civil liability that amounts to tens of thousands of dollars up to approximately 65 grand to 112 grand per individual violation.
And then theoretically, there are criminal charges that could be pursued. Here, you'd have to have intent. You'd have to show that, for example, Hasan Piker knew that he was helping the communist regime. It wasn't by accident.
And this would amount to up to 10 years in federal prison for individual violations of the Cuban assets control regulations or criminal fines up to a quarter million dollars. Already coming up, Hasan Piker responds and we look into who may have ratted on him or dogged on him. I will explain in a moment. First, there are basically two kinds of monthly bills in life.
The bills people actively think about and the bills that become so automatic nobody even remembers what they cost anymore. Wireless bills, well, they're usually in that second category. Most people can't tell you what their current phone plan includes. what they're paying for, whether they're getting a good deal.
They just know the bill shows up every month because when people assume expensive is the new normal, they stop asking questions. That's part of why Pure Talk stands out. Pure Talk, which is veteran-led, backed by 100% U.S.-based customer service, now offers unlimited high-speed data for just $34.99 a month.
So the obvious question becomes, if you can get unlimited data, reliable nationwide 5G coverage, and actual human customer support for $34.99, why are people still paying double that? That's a dumb thing to do. One thing that's also refreshing about Pure Talk, they actually let people try the service without turning it into some complicated commitment.
You can test Pure Talk for 30 days with no contract and no cancellation fees. And the switch itself can happen in as little as 10 minutes. Competent customer service has become really, really rare these days. Sometimes it's automated. Sometimes you're talking with somebody who's, you know, not speaking English particularly well.

Chapter 5: What are the consequences of aiding foreign regimes?
He lives in China now, and he's a centimillionaire. I think he has almost a billion dollars. Not sure how much money he has now, but he's been a funding vehicle for a lot of political movements in the country, a lot of activism, and they hate that. The American government hates that, so they're trying to jam him up
You know, they're trying to hit him on anything and everything they possibly can. Again, the same people like the Hassan Pikers who will accuse anyone and everyone of dual loyalty. They're happy to take money from a guy who left America to live in China, an enemy of the United States, and then funds left-wing causes in the United States to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars.
By the way, this is nothing new. International communist agents have been a part of the communist ideological bloc since literally the beginning of the Soviet Union.
I mean, there were attempts during World War II by communist-affiliated parties to undermine places like Great Britain and the United States in the middle of World War II, particularly Britain, because Russia at that time was, of course, on the side of the Nazi government.
Well, here is Piker back in March of 2025 admitting communications with the communist regime in Cuba, which, again, may be a crime.
I want to go to Cuba. Would you be down? I fucking love Cuba. Oh, yeah, you'd be down? Yeah, I filmed a documentary there once. The Cuban government actually hit my contact from the embassy and told him that if the only thing stopping asylum coming to Cuba was the consistent internet access, we can make it happen.
Yeah, Cuba is sick. Wait, like the government reached out to you?
So, yeah, yeah, of course. Well, not reached out to me.
There's a middleman there. By the way, that's him admitting that they were going to provide him with the internet access. Okay, so again, you hanging out with the communist Cuban government, they are enemies of the United States. And this is part and parcel of a broader philosophy on the left that America is bad and all of our enemies are therefore good.

Chapter 6: How is the left perceived to be undermining American values?
And of course, Governor Tim Walz did the same thing. He showed up at George Floyd Square in South Minneapolis on Memorial Day. There he is dancing at George Floyd Square, this giant weirdo. What a way to spend Memorial Day.
Honoring our fallen heroes by going to George Floyd Square in Minneapolis, where, again, that is in honor of a man who died of a preexisting medical condition and heavy drug use. That's where you're choosing to spend your day. Democrats were doing this all over the country, by the way. Another Democrat, Mikey Sherrill, in New Jersey, spent Memorial Day joining an anti-ice protest.
According to the Daily Wire, she demanded access to the Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark on Monday. Her request to inspect the facility was formally denied, she said, adding it raised serious questions about what they are trying to hide from public view. Now, a bunch of other Democrats have already toured the facility over the weekend. So that's how she spent her weekend.
And then protesters built a wall to try to block the detention center exit. And also, the protesters then decided that it would be worthwhile to call a Fox News reporter a Nazi B-word. So, you know, people using their Memorial Day productively.
So just for people that want to know what it's like to cover these protests, it's constant with this. This is what these people do. They want people who are in this country illegally to be released out onto the streets. DHS says that's what they're going to not be doing. Nazi, that's what you are.
Okay, just delightful, delightful people. And these are the people to whom the Democratic Party is now catering. Now, the DHS, the Department of Homeland Security, is pointing out that claims about Laney Hall, about abuse of inmates and people who are being held, detainees, that those are exaggerated or not true.
Quote, the facts are all detainees are provided three meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, shower, soap, and toiletries. Illegal aliens also have access to phones to communicate with their family members and lawyers. Certified dieticians evaluate meals. In fact, ICE has higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons that hold actual American citizens.
And some of the detainees that are being held according to DHS, you know, again, these are the detainees that Democrats are deeply worried about, include illegal immigrants from El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Colombia, Honduras for crimes ranging from homicide to drug trafficking to sex crimes against children.
But that's how many Democrats were spending their Memorial Day. Now, again, is all of this going to redound to Democrats' benefit? Already coming up, Democrats know why they lost in 2024. They just are going to ignore that and try to go hard to the left. I'll explain what I mean in a second.

Chapter 7: What is the significance of AOC's potential presidential run?
Again, Bernie Sanders tweeting out a photo of himself standing next to a road sign on our way to Bangor, Maine for a rally with Graham Plattner. We need candidates like Graham who will take on the greed of the oligarchs and deliver for working families.
Again, one of my favorite things about claiming an oligarchy, an oligarchy traditionally is people who are very, a small cadre of people who are very rich controlling the government. That speaks much more to the Democratic Party, which wishes to control your life top down with a very small group of people than it does to the laissez-faire economic system promoted typically by conservatives.
Graham Platner, man. By the way, I think he's going to lose the Senate seat. I think that Susan Collins will win the Senate seat because Democrats decided to be insane. But socialism is so hot right now. It's so hot. It is so fetch right now.
Already coming up, Bruce Springsteen, overrated artist, also a terrible political commentator, and Democrats wrecking California and Seattle and kind of everywhere else they touch. We'll get to all of it. First, being a responsible adult is not for the weak. And if you're not organized, things can get pretty messy.
There are school calendars, activities, travel plans, appointments, events, reminders, grocery lists, 50 unread text threads, hundreds of unanswered emails. The point is, life is complicated enough already, which is why it's refreshing when some things actually become more simple. That's one reason businesses use ZipRecruiter.
ZipRecruiter's matching technology helps connect businesses with qualified candidates quickly instead of forcing people to manually sort through stacks of random applications. The platform analyzes skills, experience, location, and role requirements to help surface people who are actually relevant for the position.
One feature that's especially useful is the screening questions because they help narrow the field early and save everybody time. You can also immediately see how many qualified candidates are available in your area. That makes the hiring process much more efficient from the start. Good systems matter. Good tools ZipRecruiter.com Have you ever gotten that check engine light?
You know, it's really, really bad. You know, when it pops up in your car and you know immediately you're gonna be spending hundreds of dollars immediately? It's automatic anxiety. Modern vehicles aren't incredible right up until literally anything breaks, which is why companies like CarShield exist.
CarShield helps protect drivers from expensive out-of-pocket repair costs with vehicle protection plans designed to make breakdowns less financially painful. One thing people like is that the plans include practical benefits too. 24-7 roadside assistance, courtesy towing, rental car options, all at no additional cost.

Chapter 8: How do Democrats respond to criticism of their policies?
there has been a co-opting of nonviolence into the point of almost being a psyop. Eventually, you can see down the road what might happen.
And if you take away all of people's political power or even the idea that they have political power, and you also take away their ability to feed their family, and you also, you can only take away so much from a person before they have no options left other than to, you know, like scream in the street, i.e. like sort of riot or something like that, or before they, they,
pinpoint certain individuals that they see as the the perpetrators of all these like these crimes against making a way of life you shouldn't have to earn the right to live okay so again what he's actually doing is creating a permission structure for violence this is the future of the left it is the future is it's the future of the democratic it's the current of the left is the future of the democratic party and it is full scale inside the democratic party at this point
Senator Chris Murphy, who again, for some benighted reason of Connecticut, he somehow thinks that he is going to run for president. He says that the people screwing you are big tech and Walmart. Big tech and Walmart. So, you know, the services that you use, not the government taking away your money, not the government regulating you out of existence. Walmart.
You know, he tells a story, right, about who's screwing you. And it's a false story, right? He talks about immigrants and Muslims and gay kids. But there is a story, a true story, about who is screwing the American people, right? And it's these technology companies that don't care about your kids, right?
It's these massive corporations like Walmart that are emptying out good jobs from our communities, replacing them with part-time work.
How about the Supreme Court?
So let's tell a story. Let's tell a true story about why you're getting screwed and who's doing this.
You're getting screwed by Walmart. Walmart is screwing you. Not Chris Murphy. Again, a completely useless twerp who's earning a government salary by trying to steal other people's money and regulate things into the ground. Walmart, where you shop for your kids. They're the ones who are screwing you. Now, all of this ends with governance. If the left gains control, then they govern horribly.
