Sounds like a 1990s talk show. Well, yeah, we're going back. We're taking you back. So, you know, guys, we're supposed to have Joy Reid on today. And guess what happened at the last minute? She showed up.

I'm good. How are you, friend? I'm doing very well. I'm doing very well. Everyone wants to know what's going on with you. And we're going to spill some tea, right?

I am feeling good. You know, it's funny because so many people are reaching out to me being like, oh, my God, are you okay? Are you okay? I know. I'm fine. I'm fine. I know. I know. You know. You know how this is, right? And I think that I have a combination of feelings, and you will totally relate to this uniquely, Don. I miss my team. Like the main thing that I miss is my people. Like my readout people are like my family, not just the, not just the producers, my like 15, you know, stalwart producers, but also my crew. Cause we're really tight and we still text and we're still in touch. I'm still in touch with my team members, but I miss them. I also feel for them because I don't like the position that they've been placed in where they're having to reapply for their jobs.
Yeah. That is painful to me because that's not the way it's ever really worked. You know, I've lost. I had a show canceled back in 2014. I had a show, you know, Phil Griffin canceled my show. But, you know, I stayed on and I just moved on and they got a new host and it never really disrupted my team. So this has been very jarring. So that is painful for me. But myself, my main issue is not having a schedule and feeling a little discombobulated. And I'm so in the news cycle in my mind. that I miss being able to like do the show and respond to the things and get in it because it's a fight we're in as a society, as a culture, our democracy is on fire. And I have a little bit of like, I want to get in this.
So I've been channeling that into my sub stack, channeling that into social media so that I don't give too much away because I want to talk about it at the end.
Well, not at the end, after we do the news of the day. But I understand. And I'm going to tell you, I felt a lot of the things that you're feeling. So I can help you out a lot. We talk offline, but I'm going to talk online now. So don't give away what's going on, what's next for you. We have a big announcement for Joy. We're going to talk about everything. We're going to talk about what happened. At the MSNBC, what's going on in media, what's going on in everything, because you're such a smart journalist and analyst.
