Angels, we're in the Ella era. Prepare for liftoff. Guys, welcome back to the Ella era. How are we? I'm good. Thanks for asking. It's a new week. And guess what? Today, it's just you and me.

And it has been so long since I've done a solo episode where we can just catch up on literally life. And the months are flying by. Like, how the F are we already in April and just about done? Like... I just can't believe what's... I just can't even. I can't even deal. It's the year of the horse. And I mean, last year was the year of the snake and that was meant to go fast.

51.998 - 72.311 Ella Mayding

But this year feels like it is just going 10 times faster. And I don't know if that's because I'm a new mom and like it's really rinse repeat every day. I actually have no idea. But it feels like life is flashing before my eyes. So anyway, I wanted to do a really thorough catch up with you guys. We're going to chat through what I've been up to lately.

I put a Q&A up on my story about a week ago and I went back through and there were so many questions around PR. And so I thought, you know what? Let's also dedicate some time to do some PR updates for all the moms and chat about her and what's going on there. So I just also had my first ever event. Now, I didn't really talk about it too much on the podcast.

95.737 - 120.583 Ella Mayding

I was talking more about it on my socials. So I hosted my very first wellness event and it was truly unbelievable. It exceeded my expectations. I am just so grateful. And I know some of you who are listening were there and it was so amazing to meet you. And I feel emotional even thinking about it. So I have wanted to host an event for a really long time.

120.743 - 142.946 Ella Mayding

Like I'm talking back when there was the Sit With Us podcast. We wanted to do that. And I've always just wanted to connect as much as I possibly can with my community. And this year was really about rebuilding my trust with my community, regaining connection with my community because of all the loud shit that happened. had been going on online in the last couple of years.

143.026 - 169.155 Ella Mayding

Like it's been really quite challenging. So this year, one of my goals was to really just rebuild, reconnect, and it was about you guys. It's about my community. And I feel like since COVID, that's one factor. Also with like the lead up of AI, that's another factor. Social media is another factor. We just don't go out of our way to create new connections in person.

169.135 - 195.01 Ella Mayding

When was the last time that you went to an event? And obviously there's influencer events. I don't fucking count those. I'm saying it could be any event if you are a part of a run club, even if you go to yoga or if you go to a book club or... Whatever it might be, when was the last time that you booked something in for you to genuinely connect with other people who might be like-minded?

Chapter 2: How did the host cope with a panic attack before her first event?

337.206 - 356.603 Ella Mayding

And I was like, wow, you know, like that is reassurance that someone I'm onto something here. And it's like, it's all about finding purpose. And, you know, I felt really good about the event and everybody had such an amazing time. So we had, I had three guest speakers. I had Freya who, if you're a listener, you would know Freya. She's been on the podcast, I think a few times now.

356.643 - 379.27 Ella Mayding

She's my naturopath. She's all things women's health. She has so much wisdom and so much knowledge that if I can like share her knowledge with you guys, then I will. So she came and spoke for about 20 minutes. After Freya, we had Hayley. Hayley then took us through a 10 minute breathwork session, which was really quite intense. Breathwork can bring up emotion.

And I think in the room, because there was so many just like-minded women who were wanting to learn and be better and grow and connect and network. Everyone's energy was just so amazing. But the breathwork session honestly brought tears to a lot of our eyes. And I participated. And yeah, like as soon as I came out of it, I had like tears in my eyes.

398.683 - 420.036 Ella Mayding

And I think for me, mine was really like just full of so much gratitude on the day. But also I had stuff come up like 24 hours before the event, I was having a panic attack at home because I was freaking out. Like I was literally freaking out, like, you know, not feeling confident about the event and had a full blown panic attack, which I've not really experienced before.

420.404 - 440.978 Ella Mayding

So things were coming up in the breathwork session and wow, like Hayley is amazing. She also has an app where you can do like guided breathwork because it was really interesting hearing what she had to say around manifestations and blockages. And if you feel like there's this energetic block or like, why aren't my manifestations coming to fruition? Like what is happening?

440.958 - 448.97 Ella Mayding

And for her to then explain how it all comes down to nervous system and the blockages with our nervous system, that is why things are not coming to life.

Chapter 3: What updates does the host share about her first wellness event?

449.371 - 470.442 Ella Mayding

Like clearly everybody in the room then had not really regulated our nervous systems because we all were emotional. And like, to me, I was like, we all need to just put some more time aside for us. Why is it that challenging? Why is it that hard? So then we can show up as a better mom. We can show up as a better partner. We can show up as a better friend, as a better daughter, sister, like,

470.422 - 493.615 Ella Mayding

It could be as small as 10 minutes a fucking day. Like, seriously, Ella. That's what I was saying to myself. Like, seriously, Ella. And I was just even more emotional because, oh, I put aside three hours to be here with all of you guys today. And it felt unbelievable. It felt amazing. So it just felt really like purposeful. That is the start of something really cool.

493.835 - 507.533 Ella Mayding

And hopefully they can get bigger. I know it sold out, I think in like less than two weeks. So there was 50 people, but yeah, next time maybe we'll like increase it a little bit and not too much. Cause then like, you know, the doubt's really creeping. So glad that you guys loved it.

0

507.513 - 528.151 Ella Mayding

Okay, let's get into some peer updates because that was definitely the most commonly asked questions anytime I put Q&As up. Like all the moms are like, tell me everything. So we're going to get straight into it. Okay, peer sleep schedule. I've said this before. On socials, I actually made a TikTok about Pia's sleep and people were not very happy for me on TikTok.

0

528.171 - 549.471 Ella Mayding

And look, I wasn't like doing it to boast. I wasn't doing it to rub it in anyone's face. I was just making a freaking funny TikTok. Like everyone needs to just chill on that platform. No wonder I don't really post on it anymore. But Pia's sleep schedule is great. I have no complaints. She goes down at like 6.37. It depends on like when her last nap was.

549.712 - 573.778 Ella Mayding

And then she wakes between the same time, 6.30, 7.30, between, it just depends what time she goes to bed. But that is her schedule. She does not wake up. In the night, which I'm very grateful for. There was no magic trick. She has just done that on her own. She's a formula fed baby now. So I truly believe that my breast milk did not fill her up.

573.959 - 592.088 Ella Mayding

And then when we started doing mixed feeds and introducing the formula, she clearly loved it. And that's when she started sleeping throughout the evening. So... How many bottles is she having a day? Okay, so let's just say she wakes up around 6.37. She has her first bottle at 7-ish and then it's really every 3-4 hours after that.

592.709 - 613.038 Ella Mayding

So what, like 7, then 10-ish, maybe like 1 o'clock, then 4, then 6.30 and then like a little buffer after the bath. This is It depends on the last nap. The last nap plays a really fucking big role. And look, I think I've said this before. She's not a great daytime napper, but because she sleeps all the way through the night, I don't get to complain.

613.239 - 632.745 Ella Mayding

So her daytime naps sometimes are like 45 minutes to an hour. She's only done a couple of naps that have been like two hours long. And I'm like, whoa, this is fucking unbelievable. But there's no like, I don't know why, I don't know how. And then bottle is every three, four hours. And we are having purees now, the La Puree Puree. She's having a cube.
