President Trump holding his 10th cabinet meeting, officially surpassing his predecessor, Joe Biden's total of nine cabinet meetings. And that was during his four years in office.
The commander in chief touting his great numbers at the border in one of his shorter than usual meetings. Here's why.
We are going to ask a couple of people to say a few words, and we're not going to go through the whole table, because the last time we had a press conference, it lasted for three hours.
And some people said he closed his eyes. Look, it got pretty boring. I didn't sleep. I just closed them because I wanted to get the hell out of here. Our border is very secure, record-setting secure. We had zero illegal aliens being admitted into our country for the last eight months.

That's hard. That's hard for even me to believe.
And while the president did not address the events in Minneapolis at that meeting, his border czar is on the ground there. He's taking charge. Tom Homan holding a very early morning press conference saying he's made a lot of progress in talking with officials.
But if people out there don't like what I was just doing, then take it up with Congress. The hostile rhetoric and dangerous threats and hate must stop. Looking for solutions. I do not want to hear that everything that's been done here has been perfect. Nothing's ever perfect. Anything can be improved on. And what we've been working on is making this operation safer, more efficient by the book.
We've got to all remember the questions we've seen and why we're here. What started this? Four years of an open border where millions of people are in this country.
Chapter 3: What happened in Minneapolis regarding ICE operations?
We are not surrendering our mission at all. We're just doing it smarter. Got here Monday evening, and I'm staying until the problem's gone.
And brand new video shows Alex Preddy confronting ICE agents 11 days before his death. He can be seen spitting at them, kicking out the taillight of a government SUV during a protest. He was tackled by agents after that. And the Preddy family released in a statement saying this a week before Alex was gunned down in the street.
Despite posing no threat to anyone, he was violently assaulted by a group of ICE agents. Nothing that happened a full week before could possibly have justified Alex's killing at the hands of ICE on January 24th. All right. Kennedy, let's start with you. Great to see you. We started off the morning early today. Tom Holman said all the reporters get in there 7 a.m.
It's a very different tone that he's setting.
Chapter 4: What are the implications of the events surrounding Alex Preddy's death?
And obviously he's talking about working with officials in Minneapolis and Minnesota, which is what they should have been doing this entire time. And it just makes you wonder if.
Some of these governors had been working with the federal government, you know, not to get everybody out, but to get out the very worst, most violent criminals who are deportable, who have deportation orders from the federal government. If they had been just working on them, so much of this could have been avoided. And, you know, he has shown up.
He has actually gotten support from moderates and some Democrats. for his tone and his more focused approach, which has been widely reported. And it was very interesting because the president was complimentary of him during the truncated cabinet meeting. And a lot of people noted that there were some omissions during the meeting.
And if he had 100 percent faith and confidence in DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, maybe he would have called on her during the cabinet meeting and allowed her to reassert herself in the administration. That did not happen. Although I would say from a comm standpoint, if they want Homan to be the one in the lead, that would be a way to do that, which is to keep it tight as they did today.

He's been doing this since Reagan, and so he knows how to play the game. He said this is the most important thing. When you go out in a sanctuary city, you need to bring 16 ICE agents to get one bad guy. And that's safer for everybody. Then you don't have violence in the streets. But Holman did say he's still on a mission and they're not leaving Minneapolis until the mission's over. And it's not just bad hombres.
Anybody who's here illegally is deportable. This new Freddie video is interesting, isn't it?
Chapter 6: What role does Kamala Harris play in current political dynamics?
You know, this is not the kind of guy they told you was out there. This wasn't the kind of innocent nurse, just wrong place, wrong time delivering aid to a needy protester. This was a hostile, aggressive, extremely angry and violent man who was armed in another armed confrontation with law enforcement. He was given the double birds. He was spitting at the truck.
And then he violently resisted arrest. Apparently, he had a cracked rib, CNN reports from this. Imagine cracking your rib and then going back out with a gun again and confronting violently ICE agents while they're doing these dangerous raids. That doesn't justify what happened to him. We're still going to wait for the results of the investigation. But why is it?
that every time these martyrs pop up, we have to look into it. And then when you report the truth about these people, Renee Good, not necessarily someone stuck in traffic. She was a well-trained anti-ICE warrior who is hell-bent on her TDS. And then you have someone like Floyd.
Chapter 7: What are the key points about Nicki Minaj's support for Trump?
Remember Floyd was this gentle giant? Turns out he was like in some sort of like armed robbery in Houston, Texas. He was in porn. He was strung out on drugs. They had to change the coroner report. Why can't the Democrats and the media be honest about their martyrs? Why can't they accept any responsibility? It's so childish. It's so dishonest.
And then when we say, oh, well, you know, this person really, they're like, oh, you're attacking this person. We're grownups. We can handle the truth.
At the same time, Jessica, the government could shut down. Democrats are saying, well, they want changes in ICE. But it feels like one of the dumbest shutdowns.
Chapter 8: How do the hosts evaluate the impact of media on political perceptions?
And I hate all shutdowns. I think they're dumb. But this one would defund ICE, but actually not particularly that. It would take away money from FEMA and not really touch ICE at all because that's funded through 2029.
Yeah, we're talking about $10 billion of ICE funding when they already got $75 to $80 billion in the reconciliation bill. But it does look like there are a number of Republican senators that are interested in having a conversation about bifurcating out the DHS funding, making sure the other five bills pass. And Senator Thune seems to be open to that conversation. So it does feel like...
This is a day of people speaking at least vaguely the same language, which I think is really healthy. I'm watching Tom Holman this morning and seeing some of the reaction. Kennedy's right from moderates and some Democrats. Very positive. I did see, you know, Tom Holman is just like Greg Bovino. Absolutely not.
This is a an acknowledgement that what Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino were doing was not acceptable to the Trump administration even. And whether that's just because it boiled over because of the public reaction or how they genuinely felt, I don't know. But this is markedly different. And a few things that I jotted down that I think are really positive steps in the right direction.
Tom Holman made sure that he acknowledged the fact that mistakes had been made. And he said, I would not be here if everything had been done perfectly. He said, I'm not here for photo ops. So taking his swing at Kristi Noem and Greg Bovino, but to seek solutions, which I think is borne out in the conversations that even Keith Ellison, Mayor Fry and Tim Walz have mentioned.
He says the mission will shift focus to criminals and people with charges. And Reuters is reporting that CPB officers have gotten the memo that they are no longer allowed to engage with agitators. So that means that you won't have an Alex Pratt situation again, hopefully.
And he also said that no matter what's going on with the protests, that ICE and CPP must act professionally or they will be dealt with. And that flies right in the face of what J.D. Vance said about these guys having immunity for whatever their actions are. And I know he's tried to walk that back, but everyone remembers that that was said originally. So call me a Pollyanna if you want.
I think that everyone should be hopeful about where this can go and that maybe those bad hombres can be the ones that are out and we can ā not see this level of a surge to one of these cities again. And that's where I am today.
