So USC always had all the leverage because they play a much better schedule. They're in a real conference. Notre Dame, I was told a month ago, Notre Dame initiated this. Notre Dame, I was told this by somebody at a major television network that knows the athletic director of Notre Dame. And the athletic director had said, we're having a hell of a time scheduling games because Because what happens is with a 12-team playoff where two of the slots go to your James Madisons and Notre Dame with a weak schedule is guaranteed if they're in the top tennis spot, it's essentially a nine-team playoff. And if it doesn't expand, people are like, you know, USC's, Ohio State's, LSU's, Michigan's are going timeout.
It's a nine team playoff. You can't lose more than two games. And because the Big Ten and the SEC, John, have now been fortified. with Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, US, UCLA, and because of the NIL, Vanderbilt and Indiana are now powerful, that a lot of these schools told Notre Dame, take a hike. We're not scheduling you. That is why Notre Dame is in favor of an expanded playoff suddenly and why Notre Dame is revisiting

a willingness to change the time of the USC game. USC always said, we'll play a Labor Day weekend. We're not playing you in the middle of our Big Ten schedule. So anyway, I mean, if you look at, go look up Notre Dame's home schedule. I mean, they don't have, Miami is it. It is unwatchable dreck. So essentially, basically, USC said, you're out. And Notre Dame circled back.
Well, I think one thing that obviously limited Notre Dame is they do this deal with the ACC and the ACC became an awful conference, right?
