Well, this was going to be a tough one for the New York Giants. Sean McVay off a loss. The Rams are pissed in L.A. and extra time to prepare. I said it this weekend. One of the favorite picks on Blazing Five, which went 5-0, was New England against Pittsburgh. So, you know, I mean, Vrabel loses at Seattle on one of the final plays. They have extra time to prepare for 42 year old, you know, pocket quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who's a sitting duck now. So that was that's why I loved Vrabel. New England so much. And this was a game where initially I thought, you know, giants match up well, but as is often the case, you can have multiple opinions on a game as it draws closer and you start thinking about all the different ways.
I mean, that's where AI can help. you know, you find so many different ways and angles and data. And it's like, yeah, McVay, awful loss, extra time. It's like Andy Reid in a bye. I didn't think this was a terribly winnable game. I'd said today, I think the Rams are going to win by a touchdown. And they, you know, they controlled it once Jackson Dark got And I think this is really a problem. So it's just the duality. And it always works this way. When you get into these labor beefs, baseball is going to have one here pretty soon between the NFL and their players. So the players said, hey, fewer pad days in practice. And the NFL owners eventually are like, they want more games.

And so you budge on stuff that doesn't cost you. So the NFL, like, okay, we'll give players fewer padded practices and they don't have to show up for certain practices and OTAs. Well, who does that hurt? It doesn't hurt running backs. It doesn't hurt veteran quarterbacks or corners or pass rushers. It hurts offensive lines. And you're seeing all these quarterbacks go down. And these are some of the more entertaining quarterbacks in the league. Jaden Daniels, Sam Darnold's a dynamic player. Jackson Dart, you want him on the field. He's a great story, good-looking kid. We've got kind of a fun, little bit reckless style. Six of 16 quarterbacks, Caleb Williams in the NFC are already down. And again, Jackson Dart, Caleb Williams, these are marquee names in the NFL.
Chicago, New York markets. And this all goes down to offensive line play. I think I've said this ad nauseum. I think in September, NFL offensive line play is awful. I never talked about offensive line play. play 10 years ago. I don't remember spending one minute on it. And over the last several years, four or five years, we talk about old line play all the time because it's so damn bad. Even teams like you think, like the Eagles in their first week against Washington, you think they have a great offensive line. It's bad. So it's just it's it's something that needs, you know, congratulations on getting fewer practices and fewer pad days. But I think it really punishes offensive lines. So the good news for Jackson Dart is Troy Aikman said he did not have his foot planted.
Kind of a fluky injury. Malik neighbors got hurt again, but he returned. That's good.
How is the Rams’ depth on the defensive line impacting their performance?
I really like the Giants talent. I thought tonight was one of those. You know, we say this. There's every year. If you're a good team, maybe it only happens once a year. If you're an average team, it happens three or four times. You're behind the eight ball. This was a bad place for the New York Giants. On the road, McVay and the Rams have something to prove, and they have so much depth. Aaron Donald, Puna Ford, Young, Braden Fisk, Kobe Turner, even without Stewart, even without Miles Garrett, I mean, they're rotating guys. Puna Ford's in for a series, then he's out for a series. Same with Aaron Donald. Aaron Donald was fine. I think the Giants' offensive line is actually really strong. Maui Noga from Miami, he could play tackle, right tackle if you wanted him to, but he'll be a dominating run blocker on the interior.
