How can you lead the team in tackles and be undrafted and become a guy that goes to the Pro Bowl?
Thirteen years in the NFL, then to become one of the elite analysts in all of sports. Ryan Clark has done that. So from overcoming adversity, exceeding expectation to now Netflix, Ryan Clark continues to grow and evolve. Today I am joined by the one and only host of the Pivot and a brand new show we're gonna talk about later in this Ryan Clark.

Right? I think people miss and they don't Realize that The person you see on TV is just another guy that grew up in the same types of places as you did. So talk to me a little bit about your upbringing, your childhood, and what a life or a day was like in the life of Ryan Clark, the kid in Morero.
Bro, I had the I had the coolest upbringing, no. Because we were lower middle class. Yep. But it was everywhere we lived, it was a family neighborhood. Yeah. And my neighbors from across the street, man, I remember uh my neighbors, his name was Mr. Robert, Robert Lafrance. Right. They were from Covington. Isn't it crazy
how you just remember that no matter
where you go in life? Absolutely. And they were from Covington and he liked to hunt and fish and they were totally opposite from what our family was. But it was this white family who grew up, man. Mr. Robert grew up being taught racist things. He grew up being taught that black people were unworthy and grew up being taught that he was better. And by meeting my parents, bro, they developed this relationship that changed my life, changed my parents' life, changed Mr. Roberts' life. I remember my dad would work night shift at Valet, right? Because he worked for the Levy District. People who don't live where we live don't understand that. He worked for the levy board. But he also valeted cars in the French quarter because that was how I would get my lunch money and stuff like that for school.
