Now let's get this party started. You're listening to Fox Sports Radio.
All right, here we go. It's a Friday, hour two, blazing five and 90 seconds. We're live. We're in Los Angeles. It's been an amazing week. It cooled down a little. NFL heating back up. Man, I got to tell you something. You ever think, J-Mac, sometimes you do this for a living? You watched the game last night. I'm like, I do this for a living. I watch football and talk about it. Very hashtag blessed. And also, people are always coming up to me now on the staff. Everybody's like, oh, have you seen that new show on streaming service? Dude, I don't watch anything for seven months during the football season.
Honestly, I don't even, I stay off TikTok. They just asked about Widow's Bay.
No idea what it is. I've
never heard of the show. They're
like, it's
amazing. I'm like, nope, not interested. I mean, I'm interested. I just don't have time for that. I mean, I could barely do Lioness right before NFL Sunday. Now that, if you're not watching, you're missing out. All right, last
week, week one of our picks, I always tell you I'm flying blind. I had no idea. Now I'm feeling much differently about my week two blazing five picks, and here we go.
Let's blaze it up. Fire it up. It's Collins blazing fire. Vikings at Bears.
I like Vikings plus four and a half. Five of the six games they've played, the last ones have all been decided by six points or less. The Vikings defense is tough. two takeaways against Green Bay, blitzed Jordan Love 78% of the time, and he's athletic. They gave the Packers O-line fits, and Caleb has struggled against Brian Flores, 88 passer reading in four matchups. Defense for the Bears is a problem. It allowed 37 points and almost 500 yards. They had 12 penalties against the Panthers, so it was not a clean game. It is a tough place to play in Chicago. We know that, but this game is going to be... Close. I think the Bears win it. But I'm going to say the Vikings and Brian Flores and the pressure. I think it's close.
28-24, Bears win. It's just too many points to give Kevin O'Connell and Brian Flores in a rivalry game. It's too many points.
Panthers at Falcons.
One of my favorite picks. Panthers 9-0 against the spread following a loss last season. I think they're very, very well coached. And they had 18 plays in week one of 10-plus yards. They were really explosive. Bryce Young has won four straight games against Atlanta and has completed 71% of his throws. He's played better against the Falcons than any other team in the division. T-Mac and Jalen Coker had a big week one. Listen, people... It's not doom and gloom losing to the Bears because they have a great coach and quarterback. I like the Panthers swallowing less than a field goal. Panthers win 27-23. It's a division rivalry. It's close. But I'm going to take the Panthers and swallow the points.
Steelers at Patriots.
Really love New England in this game. Home opener off extra rest. And I think coaching advantage. Listen, they held the Seahawks to 285 yards. Seattle could be one of the toughest places to play. They're at home. Drake May last year, after a loss, was 3-0. This is a really good team with a really good staff and a talented quarterback. The Steelers, they needed a late pick six from T.J. Watt to beat a bad Atlanta team. And the offense... 2.8 yards a rush. That is awful. Rodgers leading the Steelers to just 20 points a game over his last nine starts. This is a high floor, very low ceiling offense. Michael Pittman hasn't practiced this week. Either has the Steelers left tackle. I like the Patriots to win and cover with extra rest with a great staff 30-20.
Commanders and Cowboys.
I'm going to roll the dice and say Dallas, who was 2-0 last year against the Commanders, wins in covers.
