A listener production. Okay, are you recording?
Welcome one and all to the third and final instalment of the Millionaires Club, featuring the three guests over the last 10 years whose original episodes have been downloaded by you legends over one million times. This is episode 279 of the Howie Games Part A, featuring the one, the only. Returning to the show, Kathy Freeman.
Now, Kathy is a guest that needs no introduction, but I'm gonna give her one anyway. This is a lady for mine that performed one of the greatest individual performances in Australian sporting history at the Sydney Games when she won the 400 meters 26 years ago.
What a champion!
Kathy, she is a truly delightful person, as you will shortly hear. She has a childlike enthusiasm for life, is forever smiling and laughing, and seems one of the few people that doesn't really seem to fully grasp the enormity of what she has achieved. She is a star. She's also a mum? Yes, this superstar deals with parenting situations that most of us do and can relate to. Apparently, Olympic gold medals don't. Really cut it with your child. Thanks to the truly great woman that is Sally Harris and TGI Sport for making this episode happen. And finally, the privilege of a couple of hours chatting to Kathy Freeman is not lost on me in any way, shape, or form. I'm smiling now as I think back on. Enjoy the continuing story of Catherine Astrid Salome Freeman.
Simply the best.
