Adair said his war was aimed at the IRA, but innocent Catholics were more often than not his
real victims.

He's one of those people who are involved in the troubles whose name is still known and whom people will remember to an extent. You've written the book about Johnny Adair, so you understand there's a lot of interest and that for good reason there's an awful lot of interest in Johnny Adair. But There will be a much younger generation who Mm well I've heard of the name but they don't know who he is. Who's Johnny Adair?
Johnny Adair is a the quintessential loyalist paramilitary from the Troubles, from the Northern Ireland. He was born prior to the Troubles breaking out and he grew up in the Old Park area and in Belfast and he witnessed firsthand the outbreak of the Troubles in one of the main streets.
