If you recently discovered infidelity, it can feel like you suddenly have a hundred problems to solve at once. Do you stay? Do you leave? Who should you tell? How much should you talk about the affair? How do you stop thinking about it constantly?
In this episode, I walk through some of the simplest things you can do to make the early stages of infidelity recovery more manageable. That includes building a support system, taking care of your basic needs, creating a routine around the times you're most likely to spiral, using containment for obsessive thoughts and questions, and learning not to treat every emotion as a command to make a major decision.
Most importantly, you don't necessarily need to decide the future of your relationship before you begin healing. Becoming more grounded, independent, and confident in yourself helps you whether you ultimately stay or leave.
