Jo has worked as a freelance consultant, as well as the Senior Humanitarian Deployments Manager within the UK Government’s DFID Chase Operations team. In 2016, Jo was awarded an OBE for her work with global humanitarian response and in 2017 she was awarded an honourary doctorate from the University of Portsmouth for her work with emergency response and international relations.
