Welcome to the Kings Beat Podcast. I'm James Harry, Kings inside of our ESPN 1320, the Kings Beat, and host of another podcast. Um I don't know why that that's my intro for a different podcast. I I'm okay. I'm trying to figure out how to lower the volume in my in my ear pods here. Am I too loud? No, I don't think it's you guys. I think it's me. Uh I just haven't been able to successfully figure out all of a sudden why I can't lower the volume in my in my in my head. Other than that, I'm doing fine.

Not far removed from Vegas where me and Sean did we hang out, Sean? We hung out a little bit.
Nope. You avoided me as usual. Per year a lot of these uh media types. Just you know, I'm very inclusive. I try to bring everyone together and they go, you know, I'd rather not. That's pretty much what uh it's pretty much what I took from that.
That's not true. We did hang out. I actually remember this now. And with Kevin John and a handful of other people. We had a good time. Can't I cannot recall.
There usually comes a point in in the night when I would go to Vegas in Summer League where I would hang out with you guys for a long time, but then there's a point like Okay, I'm done. I'm good. I'm good. And the walk home is usually not a good walk in Vegas. You don't want to be out on the strip getting an Uber.
What's wrong with you? Yeah, walk on for your own.
Uh yeah, there are crazy people all over the place. Well, even in Vegas, you you should be using taxis, not Ubers. Way cheaper.
Not really. But you you haven't been to Vegas in a while, have you? I know you've gone to your residency and stuff and you saw some concerts, but uh when you hop in a cab, as I found out, because I was under the same uh oh it's just down the street. Let's just grab an Uber. Or let's just grab a cab. Five fifty right out of the gate. Right out of the gate before they even uh I'm distracted by an animal in uh Brendan's camera uh lurking behind him. A cat. A cat beware. Uh no, yeah, dude. Five fifty right out of the right out of the gate before you even step your ass into the Uber or I mean to the uh taxi cab. That's crazy.
Well yeah, that's just your standard like the basic rate. I mean, are Ubers cheaper than five fifty?
Yes. And then you're well yeah, okay. But you then you put your tip on top of that. So again, your cab ride starts at five fifty before you move an inch. So are you gonna tip another three dollars? You're already eight fifty. Mm. Okay. So Uber doesn't start with a with a five fifty up front. You get to you get to see all right, and maybe they already incorporate it, but at least I know because if I'm doing it, it's gonna say going from let's say MGM to the win is going to be Nine dollars or whatever. You know?

I had uh a vacation. Uh I disappeared to Cabo for like ten or eleven days um and got a and got a break. I did watch all of the summer league games, which is just like I don't know why I would do that to myself. Um, but uh let's just start there. You guys just got back from from summer league. What were your overall impressions of just what happened down there? Uh, and especially being around the team? Was there some disappointment that they just didn't fare all that well? By whom? Well, by the players.
