In a moment we'll have Oasis Superfan and today I found courts reporter Frank Grainy with us. But first, John Cadell. Tell us about the announcement.
John Cadell 0:18
Okay, so as Laura said there's fourth and fifth September next year in Slane Castle. Registration is open now at oasisinet.com. That's O A S I S I N E T dot com. Registration for
Matt Cooper 0:31
what?
John Cadell 0:32
Registration for the um ability to buy tickets. Now this is the only way that you can. You have to register. Even if you're a member of their mailing list, you still have to register. Um it says that they've done this. There's no general on sale or other public pre sales. The structure has been created to ensure the purchase process is as fair and smooth as possible for Oasis fans. So ticket prices between one hundred eighty one and five oh one including booking fee. Five oh

one?

What is the Oasis Slane Castle announcement and when are the dates?

Matt Cooper 0:59
What do you get for five hundred and one euro?
John Cadell 1:00
Probably a lock of Leem's lovely hair.
Matt Cooper 1:03
Frank Rainey, would you pay the five hundred and one euro to get the hair?
Frank Greaney 1:07
Well, I'll tell you what, after watching the Manchester Derby yesterday, as a Manchester United fan, And watching uh I think it was Noel that was in the stands taunting the United fans as they went on to win one nil. I wouldn't have described myself as a super fan of Oasis yesterday, let me tell ya. But today? Yeah, it's great. I mean it's i it was it was um the worst best kept secret uh over the past couple of days and spoke about uh Noel taunting the crowd yesterday. The band uh certainly did a lot of taunting online over the past few days. It is fantastic news for anybody who loves the band and I think anybody who attended the uh gigs in Crow Park last year were just uh blown away by them.

How does the ticket registration system work for the Slane shows?

Frank Greaney 1:44
It was the end of a narrative, would they, wouldn't they get back together and they didn't disappoint. The show was absolutely a fantastic. Um Slain will be brilliant. I suppose it kind of represents um an interesting arc to their story. As we all know, they they played back in ninety five. They they weren't the, I suppose, the megastars that they went on to become at that stage. I think this happened just before what's the story Morning Glory was released and that sent them into the stratosphere, turned them into a phenomenon. They did return to headline slane then a couple of years later in in oh nine. And twenty twenty seven, it's hard to believe all these years later they go back. now um uh reunited.
Frank Greaney 2:21
I should say that I wasn't there the last time. In fact I've never seen them play uh play Slayne. So if I am lucky enough to get tickets and I have already registered uh for that portal that John was on about uh a moment ago, it would be fantastic to see them there.
John Cadell 2:33
Frank, tell us this, uh when you register, is there any questions you have to answer? Because I maintain that all of the I I want to see them for the experienced merchants who probably went last time will want to go again, even though they can't name three songs. So is there any questions like what year was Lean born or name all six studio albums within the next few There was.
Frank Greaney 2:54
Uh uh there was so the question that they asked, and thankfully I knew the answer was what year was What's the Story Morning Glory released? Brilliant. And that was nineteen ninety five. I think three months after they had played Slain. They didn't headline Slane on that occasion. They were playing support to OEM.

What are the ticket price tiers and what do you get for the premium €501 option?

Frank Greaney 3:08
That's right. That's right, on uh on their on their uh Monster Tour. And also interestingly, they can't guarantee you obviously that you will get the opportunity to buy tickets, but they do ask you to list three cities in order of of preference. Okay. Um so if you can't get the first you might be offered Rome, Barcelona, Nebirth, whatever. And then interestingly they ask if you'd be interested in taking a a travel package or exploring a travel package. Uh if you don't get your first destination, you have to travel.
Matt Cooper 3:34
Because Slane is not far away from most people.
