Yeah, from from about one thirty to two thirty. So just almost before the before the race starts, in between F two and F one, if you are like us, very excited about the F two action over the weekend. Um yeah, come and see us. Indeed. Um, so looking forward to meeting uh some of you around this weekend. Um, let's get into it. Round nine, uh, it sees us return to the place where it all started back in nineteen fifty, that being Silverstone for the British GP. Uh, an anticipated record-breaking crowd is set to watch fifty-two laps of high speed action around this ever popular track, with numerous overtaking opportunities, including Into turn six of Brooklyn's and turn fifteen of Stowe. Uh in recent years, weather has been an important factor in deciding the winner. Rain was present last year and in 2024, but in a dramatic turn of events, it looks like it's gonna be warm and sunny. All weekend. Can you believe that?
Um We're never gonna get a wet race again then.
No, I I I think it's done. We've we've seen the last wet weather race in F1. Uh the last four years have seen four different winners from four different teams. Uh but last year it was Lando Norris claiming a home Grand Prix for the first time. Uh his compatriot Lewis Hamilton, of course, is looking for uh a tenth. But a man still searching for his first is George Russell. And we're gonna kick off our preview with him because following victory in Australia. Austria. He's of course going to be hoping to to back up that win. Do you think he can do it? Can he get that home GP win that he's yet to achieve?
It's definitely possible, isn't it? I mean the Mercedes, very, very good, but there's uh there's some changes that uh very different to Austria that take place at Silverstone. You know, the weather is whilst it's hot, it's a different type of hot to Austria. We haven't got the the altitude that Austria has, the track is a very different type of layout. Of course, a lot more corners, sweeping corners going through uh Silverstone. And I know that they've reduced the megacill allowance here even further to what they normally would have done coming from one. track to the other. So while we have got four straight zones, straight line zones, um straight mogus the answer I'm looking for. Then um you also have a reduction in battery use.
So the stretch that Mercedes have with their incredible battery. Shouldn't be as prominent in theory as what it was in Austria. And that was why, in qualifying before the yellow flag debacle that we had take place, uh Antonelli was so quick with the final two corners because he was able to deploy more battery at a higher level, essentially, over everyone else.
