So over the weekend news started to trickle out that the California Attorney General Rob Bonta was looking to settle the antitrust litigation that California and eleven or twelve other states brought forward against Paramount Skydance because they were trying to acquire Warner Brothers for around uh a hundred and eleven billion dollars. Now the Political winds appear to be at their backs. This is not a popular merger and specifically in California it really screws over the workforce in the state. Well, Bonta has caved, it appears. And Some of the other states attorneys general are not happy about it. But let's just go back in time for a a second, because this all started.
Right around the election in twenty twenty four, CBS did an interview with Kamala Harris, where they edited out certain laughter and coughing, I believe. And Trump said this is so misleading and so biased that I'm gonna sue CBS for twenty billion dollars. And he did that right before the election and everybody knew it was BS.
