A Minnesota resident arrested earlier this month for allegedly posting a $45,000 bounty on TikTok calling for the death of Attorney General Pam Bondi, according to an FBI affidavit. Authorities taking Tyler Maxson Avalos into custody on October 16th after a post from an account he allegedly controls was reported to the FBI. The post features a picture of AG Bondi with a sniper scope red dot laid over her forehead. and a caption reading, quote, wanted, Pam Bondi, reward, 45,000, dead or alive, preferably dead. The profile bio containing they, them, theirs pronouns and reading, quote, make John Brown proud. Avalos has not been formally indicted. He was arrested on a charge of interstate transmission of a threat to injure another person. His attorney, Daniel Gertz, tells AM Update, quote, no date is set for the next court hearing because he has not yet been indicted. He was arrested on the basis of a criminal complaint. In federal court, the Fifth Amendment requires an indictment to go forward. He is not guilty of any crime, however, so we will wait and see. The judge overseeing defendant Tyler Robinson's case ruling yesterday on whether the 22-year-old accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk will be allowed to appear unrestrained and in civilian attire in future court appearances.
