But this morning, Kevin Reddington, the defense lawyer... really upped the ante on his targeting of the lone holdout juror, Michael. And we will tell you exactly what he's now demanding. It is extraordinary. Just a little preview. He wants the guy's phone records during the deliberations. He wants the actual phone turned over. And he is really leaning in to harassing this juror. Who will protect Michael? Truly, he's got a lawyer. I'm not sure that guy's going to be able to protect him because he's trying to get the court system to bear down on this guy.
It's obvious intimidation. So we will be getting to that in one minute. Also, Nicole Hannah-Jones, you know, Ida Bay Wells is her ex-handle. She's the author of the 1619 Project. She decided, because she needed to prove some story, some point about racism, to send her daughter to one of, if not the worst public school in New York City. where there were open fights all the time, absolutely no teacher presence, a shitty principal, according to her, reading and math levels in the toilet. Her daughter basically couldn't read next to that level of despair.
The tests weren't being looked at by the teachers. And she just continued forward because whites and racism. And finally, it took until her daughter said, what on God's earth did you do to me? For her to realize that all the dining out she'd been doing on the daughter's misery, patting herself on the back for being an anti-racist and never eschewing a school where black and brown bodies struggle. Her daughter... is below national reading levels and math levels and so on levels across the country. But Nicole Hannah-Jones feels really good about herself. And it took the daughter saying to the mom, you fucked up. You completely screwed up my childhood. Why did you do this to me? She didn't change the schools, but she did undereducate her daughter and take away actual meaningful opportunities that that kid could have had.
She humiliated herself so that she it's the epitome of woke ism where it's it's virtue signaling so that they feel like a better person. You and I have talked about this countless times. The whole point of wokeism is to virtue signal. So other people think you're better than you are. And then they are. That's wokeism in a line. It's based on identity politics. But that's what she did. Only here, the person she was hurting wasn't some terrible white conservative. It was her own child. And now we're supposed to give her points for breaking the update in her column. You know, like, oh, yay, good for her for owning it. Coleman Hughes, who I love, was making that point wrong. I'm sorry, but absolutely wrong. She had to because the daughter insisted on getting out of these schools.
And Nicole Hannah-Jones was still lecturing all over the country on how great she was for sending her there. She had no choice. but to be honest about what had happened. And now she's trying to turn it into a triumphant moment. Bullshit. All she should be feeling is shame and embarrassment. So more on that as well. Imagine this. You're surrounded by fellow fans sharing wings, drinks, high-fiving random strangers. Everyone remembers the game. No one remembers the guy coughing behind you until a few days later at 2 a.m. when you wake up with a fever and your throat's on fire. Now what? Urgent care? Good luck. ER? Slammed. Telehealth?
