What is Megyn Kelly’s opening preview and the day’s main news agenda?
Welcome to the Megan Kelly Show, live on Sirius XM Channel 111, every weekday at Noon East.
Hey everyone, I'm Megan Kelly. Welcome to the Megan Kelly Show. Today, as you probably all know, marks one year since the conservative movement, America and the World, lost Charlie Kirk. A year ago at this hour we had no idea that we were just moments away from the unthinkable and whenever you hit A moment like this, a one year marker in time or Five year, what have you? You can't help but start thinking What if we could go back and have a do over? Like what if we could just reach Charlie right now and say, Don't go to Utah Valley University, don't go out there, don't don't it's not safe for you today, don't do it. Do something else. Stay at home with Erica and the kids. Um, of course that's not the way life works.
We all know that. And I have a bunch of thoughts that I want to share with you uh in just a bit. We have a a tribute to Charlie that we're gonna play just a bit later this hour. Uh we also have the first long form interview today in our second hour with the AI researcher who has made such a splash this week, coming out and stating publicly that he believes AI is might very well kill us all by the decade's end. Okay, now we're turning to twenty twenty seven in January, so we possibly have three years to live. If if that long? I mean, this is like I know it's massive doomerism. And I'm going to push back on him. But we should hear him out, shouldn't we? Like shouldn't we uh hear the case made about what is happening on the inside of these massive AI companies.
He started at with open AI and then he went to anthropic, which is supposed to be the w more responsible one. And he has some bad news for us about both of them. So What we don't want is for whistleblowers like this guy to jump up and down when there is still time to do something different. And to ignore them. And to just go down a road toward destruction. Without at least some intelligent reflection by humans. And whether this is a choice we want to make. And if this guy is wrong or agenda driven, then let's know that too. But the answer is definitely not to ignore these guys who are th they're growing in number, are coming out one after the other from these AI companies trying to tell us That d that danger is afoot, and not small danger, but true existential end times danger.
