Two days ago, President Trump had a phone call with Tim Walz. Yesterday, Tim Walz deployed his own Minnesota State Patrol to arrest the anti-ICE protesters. Which means... by the governor's own logic, that Tim Walz is now a Nazi collaborator. What changed? We will get into it. I'm Michael Knowles. This is The Michael Knowles Show. Welcome back to the show.
As you can see, I am still here in my beautiful temporary studio, lovingly provided to me by my pal because I'm locked out of the DW studios and not even by an order of the court or by the demand of Ben Shapiro. I'm locked out by ice. Actually, ice is locking me out of my studio, not the good ice. the they'll be also good, but much less convenient ice that has turned Nashville into Mad Max.
It's totally nuts, but it's all right. We're surviving and thriving. We've been blessed with many great gifts and graces and opportunities during all of this, including I'm happy to say the ability to continue doing the show, which we have to do because everything is getting so insane in this flashpoint of Minneapolis where there's always
The rioting, always the insurrection, always the violence, always the challenges to authority in Minneapolis. Until yesterday. The timeline here is really, really weird. It was on Sunday that Governor Walz comes out and he says that these guys are Nazis. And then Trump has the phone call, and then we have reports out that the Minnesota police, local police,

Chapter 2: What recent events led to Governor Tim Walz's controversial decisions?
But there is a little political play here. And this finally explains why Caroline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary, was playing up the fact the other day in the briefing that Tom Homan received a presidential medal from Barack Obama. It seemed to come out of the blue.
They said, you know, actually, Tom Holman received a presidential medal for all of his great work in deportations from Barack Obama. Why? Because they were setting up the conditions to replace Greg Bovino. Okay, maybe Tim Walz gets on the phone. Okay, all right, Mr. Trump, I understand. I'm a real knucklehead. Listen, I know, and yeah, okay, I might have committed some fraud with the Somalis.
I know, knucklehead.
knucklehead timmy again i know i might be i i stood up on my iron grate the other day and i i told people to get themselves killed obstructing law enforcement knuckle knuckle knuckle anyway can you bail me out please and you know you can imagine trump on the other end saying you know what tim okay what's your demand you got it they want me to get rid of the guy who's in charge of it
And Trump says, OK, so they reassign him to wherever he was before or some new place, whatever. And then in their place, they put in Tom Homan. So now it's much harder to attack Tom Homan because you just hold on. Barack Obama said this guy was great for deportations. And the question becomes, are they going to keep up the deportations or are they going to pull back?
And you had initially the Libs celebrating and the Doomers celebrating. And they're sort of pathetic, cynical. They just they just have to be right that things are terrible way of saying, oh, we'll see. Here you go. Trump's going to pull back. And I thought, I don't know. I think he's smarter than that.
And I think he learned the lesson of 2020, which is you cannot give these people, these people in particular in Minneapolis, an inch of You can't give them an inch. They're going to question the intensity and the authenticity and the legitimacy of your whole administration. But by all accounts, that's not what's going on. Holman comes in.
And he's going to keep up the raids, and now he's going to get local law enforcement buy-in. We'll get to that momentarily. First, I want to tell you about Balance of Nature. Chapter 3: How did President Trump influence Tim Walz's actions?
He put on Truth Social. Governor Tim Walz called me with the request to work together with respect to Minnesota. It was a very good call, and we actually seem to be on a similar wavelength. I told Governor Walz that I would have Tom Holman call him and that what we are looking for are any and all criminals that they have in their possession. All the illegals are criminals.
That's why they're called illegals, because they broke the law. Some people are going to hear this and say, well, it's only the really violent ones who have committed extra crimes. But the language here is totally ambiguous, which it has to be. The governor very respectfully understood that, and I will be speaking to him in the near future.
He was happy that Tom Homan was going to Minnesota, and so am I. I read this, I say the panic hands are destroyed again. Trump does this a lot. Trump is very charming. Trump is much better at politics than a lot of his career politician adversaries. This was certainly the biggest misstep of Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi in the first administration is they were so
awful to Trump right off the bat. There was no opportunity to try to ingratiate themselves. Maybe ingratiating themselves wouldn't have worked, but it would have worked a lot better than pushing him away. Trump, he does like to turn on the charm, and he's very charming. He did this to Mamdani in the Oval Office. Doesn't give Mamdani an inch on anything.
And in fact, almost certainly threatened Mamdani because the city of New York relies on the federal government for like $100 billion a year of funding when all is said and done. But he puts on a little charm. He's doing the same thing for Walls. And then he hugs Walls. So by hugging Walls, you put Walls in a terrible position. Walls just called this guy Himmler the other day.
Walls said that the ICE agents are Nazis and the face-tattooed rapists and murderers are Anne Frank. And then two days later, he says, and actually, I love the Nazis. Long live the Reich. I'm such a knucklehead. So that's what he's saying, right? 48 hours later, what did Trump speak to him about? Let me just, I don't want to seem like I'm over, we have the clip, right?
Tim Walls comparing ICE to Nazis.
We have got children in Minnesota hiding in their houses, afraid to go outside. Many of us grew up reading that story of Anne Frank. Somebody's going to write that children's story about Minnesota. And there's one person who can end this now.
Yeah, they're going to write that book, but only after I cooperate with the Nazis. I want to make sure that I'm in the book. No, you don't want to be that. If it's the story you're telling, you don't want to be the character that you're just... Trump clearly talked a little sense into him. And how did he do it?
