Good morning to you too, Mike. What's the level of satisfaction in this result?
Uh, I think that we've been able to see continued growth um coming on the back of three years of integration shows that we have have momentum that we continue to build on now. And I think as we are moving out of the integration phase into innovation phase, it gives us a lot of confidence that we're doing the right things to support New Zealand ink.
The revenue growth is that eating somebody else's lunch or is it the market growing?
No, we are definitely taking share, um, in in the market and as we grow and leverage our scale that we've got since the merger with Vocus, we're seeing more and more uh companies and consumers uh look at our proposition.
Give us an insight into how telcos work in this country. Are you directly connected to the economic conditions of the time that we so often talk about, or are you a s completely separate market and people are doing their own thing?
No, absolutely connected to the um impact and the um cost of living that's been been occurring. Um our overall ethos is to be the value player in the market, so we focus continually on trying to ensure that we deliver the best value around telecommunications to the New Zealand market um and making sure that we're efficient how we do that so we can support New Zealand and can keep on growing.
Where's the money? Is it in the big players or is it in the individual like me?
Uh right across the board.
What role does AI play in 2degrees’ operations and efficiency strategy?
Right across the board. As a as an organization we have been very strong um in consumer, but this year we're seeing growth across consumer uh business and wholesale and we're seeing we're making real significant strides in the enterprise and government space.
What about AI? How much AI is in here?
I think AI is just an another tool. Um, from our perspective. We look at how we leverage it in the organization, but it's more used around considering how we redesign work processes and workflows. So We don't see it as the golden bullet, we see it as an enabler to support what we're doing to be more efficient and make sure we are truly that value operator.
Tell us about the ground station and satellite and where that goes and what its potential is.
How is the new ground‑station and satellite partnership with AST expanding 2degrees’ network capabilities?
Yeah, that's a really um exciting investment and partnership with AST. So we have our ground station in Martin, so that, you know, effectively allows us to control the data in our network and it gives us a seamless network from our mobile network into the satellite network. The thing that unique around um AST is from day one there'll be voice text and data. So you can use any handset. So we're really breaking down the barriers and And as you know, New Zealand being the way it's uh designed, long and thin with population sparse uh areas, it will just allow um things for one um search and rescue but we also think there'll be a big opportunity for Internet of Things solutions for particularly around um agribusiness and the like.
