Hello, Jack. What's going on?
Hey, good morning. So a couple of things. You know, the Steelers, and bringing back Aaron Rodgers, why I like him, I think he's a great leader. I don't think that that makes sense to do this at this particular time. I mean, you go out there, you maybe get a Malik Willis, you bring him in, and then next year's heavy quarterback draft class, you try to go after your guy. I'm tired of the mediocrity and patch milling things. with same expectations. I really feel it's time to move on. As far as the Pirates are concerned, very excited about the moves that they made. Bringing in Ozuna, great move. I don't want to see them make any more big splashes, to be honest with you. Not at this particular time. We've done that before.
Going back, I forget how many years, when we brought in Archer, gave up Meadows and our other pitcher there to bring him in, and it didn't work out. I'd like to see them get through maybe into the June time frame, and then, you know, if it really makes sense, make your move at that point. That's all I have. Thank you.

What insights does Nick Faribault provide about the Steelers' draft strategy?
Well, with regard to the quarterback, again, Nick seemed to think at some point they're going to draft one this season with the thinking that you never know what you're going to end up getting, and it takes an injury or two to reveal your depth, and you may be surprised. You know Trey Lance got injured It was Brock Purdy who was on their roster the Steelers had a chance to draft him in the seventh round chose not to they went to Chris Oladokun and Purdy ends up getting a shot and making the most of it so For them to do anything with regard to Howard or anything else, if Rodgers is coming back, it would take something bad to happen, most likely, or their season just completely falling apart. And maybe then you can get a look.
If not, and he's here, your next best thing is to... See, I wouldn't draft someone this year just to draft him. Now, he mentioned Garrett Nussmeier. If he's fallen to the fourth round, would I be interested? No. You know, there's a reason for the fall. I mean, you can say the same thing about Howard, I suppose. But I would be more willing to just look at it next year and see what free agency offers then and drafting somebody and just open this whole thing up after Rodgers. But would you draft somebody right now, Austin? I mean, I just don't see the purpose of it this year.
I would typically agree with you on that and just don't think that it's worth a quarterback in the middle rounds. But for two reasons, I would consider it this year. One is because they're going to have 11 or 12 picks. So you have the most picks that you've ever had in a draft. So it allows you that flexibility to be able to take a flyer on a quarterback. And also, Auer and Nussmeier both were hurt a lot of the year. had their head coaches fired in the middle of the season, and I think were kind of failed by their coaching. They're both different in terms of their frame, their style, their upside, but I think both are worth an opportunity late in the third round or in the middle of the fourth round based on that high upside, where maybe you do hit like on a Russell Wilson or Jalen Hurts' second round, but yet we're talking third round.

it's a risk there's no doubt about that but it's not like you're taking him in the first or second round but Nick made a good point it took an injury on all of those cases for those guys to get opportunities or something so they got in there and then once you get in there you open up eyes if you have the opportunity I understand and if it's a Drew Aller type or if it's a Nussmeyer and he's down in the fourth round and you feel well we had a high grade on him coming in before this last season can we get something out of him down the road I guess it's worth it but
