Chapter 1: What is discussed at the start of this section?
It's the Pumpin' Joe Show. Not here. Nobody knows. Do you know this song by heart yet, Limits? I actually do, yes. So do I. And the good news is that Bob is here, sitting right across from me, and I'd like to announce publicly something that nobody cares about. Where'd he go? I got 10 of 16 of the sweet 16, and all my final four teams are alive, Bob.
And I realize that the only thing more boring than talking about my brackets, this goes for anybody, is talking about my fantasy teams. But I do have 10 of 16. And I do of all my final four. How about you? Three of the four. I have Michigan State winning it all. So that's one of my... Arizona or Florida the one you lost? I mean Florida. Arizona's still alive.
Florida's what I lost because I mean that was quite a game there.
Great game.
To see the former Robert Morris transfer Alvaro Fulgaris. How do you say his last name?
Fulgaris.
Fulgaris. Yeah. He hit that shot that was unbelievable. And Todd Golden is the kind of coach that he may be good at it, but he makes you want to not like their program. Yes, he does. He's like Danny Hurley in many ways. Yes, he is.

Chapter 2: How are the Final Four brackets shaping up?
I watch that team, and sometimes I want to say, and Nick Cronin's in the same boat. All these guys I look at and I say, eh, they may be good at what they do, but I don't want to root for them. I loved when the coaches got into it in the Iowa. Boy, they did. You know, that guy, McCollum, has done a heck of a job with them. And if you look at his track record, he has done well wherever he's been.
I think he's won multiple national championships. And I forget if it's Division II, whatever it is. I mean, he's had a big success on his resume when it comes to coaching teams to big results. And so now at Iowa, you didn't think ā first of all, I never thought Iowa-Nebraska would be one of the games we're going to watch on Thursday, but here we are. Limits, I got 10 of 15, or 10 of 16.
Did I mention that? And all my Final Four teams are alive. How are you doing on both your brackets that have different teams on them? That is correct, yes. I'm assuming you'll go with the better one right now. What do you have? I have my Final Four in both brackets still alive. I never picked Florida to make it to the Final Four.
Bob, should he get to talk about both his brackets here, or should he be negated from all bracket talks since he has two different brackets? I'm just basically going off of my main bracket. I understand why people do it, but you're right. Then you cover your butt on so many different things. But the strategy, I've read a few articles where that doesn't pay off at all. You could have 10 of them.
But if you keep going against sooner or later, there's an intersection that you need to happen, and it doesn't happen. Are there any perfect brackets left? No. They're all done. Out of 26.6 million, none left after one week. That is incredible. Nobody's standing to tell about it, Bob. It's very sad.
Was anybody standing by the end of Harry Callas' wedding the other night, Bob, that you didn't go to? Harry Callas' wedding? I mean, Harry Callas' wedding? That's an upset to start. Whoa! I mean, Donnie Football's wedding. And the reason why I mentioned Harry first is he was the star of the show. We lifted him up in the air, Bob. No, you didn't. Yes, we did. We had already lifted who?
Who was the first person who went up? Jack Hillgrove, maybe? He was having a good time, Bob. Let's just put it that way. And then Pony said, what about Harry? I said, zero chance that I'm going to get involved and zero chance he gets up in the air. Sure enough. And I have to give Pony credit. He got into the heavy lifting part of this. And so did a couple of others.
I was just on the outskirts because I knew if Harry came crashing down, there goes back, knees, everything else. I'm in the hospital for a month, Bob. Was that the high point limits? It was definitely a point of the wedding that I did not expect. What precipitated that? Alcohol was normally involved. That's a part of it.
That's what they say when everybody gets in trouble and police believe alcohol. Yeah, I don't know what happened because I was sitting over by one of the tables and all of a sudden I just hear a bunch of yelling on the dance floor and I'm like, what is going on here? And I see Harry Callas in the air.

Chapter 3: What happened at Harry Callas' wedding?
I heard that you, Joe Starkey, were a maniac on the dance floor. Is this correct? Oh, yeah. You were just dancing with everybody. Happy-go-lucky. It was great, yeah. Good. That would have been me had we been there, but then it would have been fun. We could have got a lot of people on the dance floor having fun.
I didn't know what songs were being played because I've sort of lost touch with, I guess, pop music, if you want to call it that. Some of the old school stuff was great, but I just went with the flow, Bob, and had a wonderful time. Yeah, I'm glad you did. That's what those are about, memories.
And this is, you know, all the things that happen in our lives, you know, our search for money, our search for whatever you're looking for. At the end of the day, it comes down to memories and what you take with you because the other stuff you can't take with you. So you may as well have a good time at these events.
Limits and I got there early and went to the Primanti's in Johnstown and watched some basketball and the Penguin game. How about that, Bob? There was a lot going on in that afternoon. I was going to ask you, were you doing that during the wedding when ā We had a wonderful bonding session, but then Limits came down with a stomach ache midway through the reception.
I had to caretake him a little bit, didn't I, Limits? Did you guys stay overnight? No, we drove back. No, we drove back. Yeah. Everything changed on the ride back when I gave him a little antacid pill. Yeah, and my stomach felt a lot better. Because I was down for the count, Bob, for like the last two hours. Maybe the last hour of the wedding. I was fighting through it for a while, Bob.
But at one point, I lost my luster. And then on the car ride home in like the last 20 minutes, I started to feel like I was truly coming back to life.
to what i was a medicinal man i credit joe yeah it was bad that was after i went on the shuttle bus from the reception and told i went to the front of the shuttle bus and i said i have announcement an announcement to make i'm taking limits to the toddler room at mcdonald's on the way home why is it bob that he always insults my height which is a normal height and my age
everybody liked it he even insulted my age everybody on the bus like how dare he yeah say happy birthday to him bob well it's a belated but happy birthday i i knew i saw that somewhere and i said wow it's the same day as donnie's wedding that's yeah i know how about that what was the bigger occasion in your opinion bob what limit's birthday or donnie's wedding well it has to be a wedding i mean birthdays come every year you only get married once that's a good point yeah
I agree that it was also Donnie's wedding, but my birthday was in lockstep with that. I don't expect anybody else to care about my birthday. Did you take copious notes so that when you get married, you'll be able to figure out what you like and what you don't like? No, Bob. I had to find somebody dumb enough to date me and then marry me for me to be able to think about that. Sooner or later.

Chapter 4: How does pitching rotation affect player performance?
He'd be going off five days rest. Okay. Is that normal? Yeah, that's normal. All right. Instead of six. Yes. And it's an afternoon game on the 6th. Correct. He'd be getting pretty much a week and a half. Well, not a week and a half, but a week's worth of rest, seven days, before making that start on the next Friday. He's a creature of habit.
Everything he does, it seems to me, it's like Sidney Crosby. Wait, what? He'd be going off a week's rest when?
Chapter 5: What are the implications of starting pitchers' routines?
If he pitched the home opener and opening day. And no starts in between. Who cares? Why not get him an extra day? Because he cares. He likes his routine. You ask him right now, would you rather pitch the home opener or be on your routine? He'd say routine. I think he would say routine. Okay. Then I give him what he wants. I'm not sure he would say that. It's only one day.
You can also flip this around. If that's what you want, you put Keller as your opening day starter in New York then. I would have done that. And you put Skeen second. Yeah, I'd rather have him at the home opener. Yeah, maybe not. You want him in the opener on NBC, Bob.
Chapter 6: How do recent player performances impact team expectations?
I mean, that's a big ā yeah, exactly. I want him in the home opener, too. I'm selfish that way. You limits? How about you? Why don't we just make another Paul Skeens? Seth Hernandez might be another Paul Skeens. Did you see him the other day? 102, he had ā Yeah, I was watching that. You see the look on that batter's face? Yeah, what's the guy's name? He's a pretty good batter, too. Max Clark.
Max Clark, one of the top prospects in baseball. He looked at him and was like, what? What the blank? He said that to his bench. He said that, I think, to himself, too, with his eyes looking all big. And they asked Skeens about it yesterday on the broadcast, and he said, yeah, he's never seen a reaction like that from a hitter before. That was funny. And that was 102 miles an hour as well.
I don't know if the kid can control anything right now, but I saw somebody tweet, what if the Pirates got the best player in each of the last three drafts? How about that? That would be a feather in Ben Sherrington's cap, and it also makes a big difference. Three feathers in his cap, Bob, to be precise. Who would he be drafting this year, Bob? The next coming of Barry Bonds.
Limits, you have tickets to the home opener, don't you? Not at the moment. I'm planning on going. Don't you want to see Skeens pitch? Well, I'd love to see Skeens pitch, but I also would like to see him pitch as many games as possible. It's one day. It's a Thursday off. Again, the simple solution is Donnie Kelly always said, look, we want Skeens to be in our home opener.
Therefore, it's going to be Mitch Keller opening the season, followed by Skeens and Majinski. It's a simple flip if you wanted to do that. And I'm sure he consulted with Skeens. Why is Majinski the third guy in the rotation right now? I don't know the answer to that.

Chapter 7: What predictions are made for the upcoming baseball season?
So... It's weird because obviously when you make up a rotation, you're like, okay, our number one starter is Skeens. Our number two is Keller, Ashcraft, Chandler, whatever. You would imagine Carmen Majinski is quote unquote the fifth starter. The way that I see that they've broken this down and Kelly basically said it was matchup based and just structurally the way they liked it.
The way that I interpret that is they would rather have Skeens and Chandler go back to back from each other, but they don't want to, but Skeens and Keller are considered the top two guys and they want to honor Keller giving them the day two game, whatever. And they want to put Majinski in the middle of this rotation where it kind of creates a buffer between Keller and Ashcraft right in between.
I don't necessarily agree with it. I would rather have a left hand starter. What are you talking about? Yeah, I don't know that. I don't really care. Why wouldn't Ashcraft be the buffer? I don't care about it either, but I think that's their explanation. Wouldn't you rather have a left hand starter in there? That's not an explanation. It makes no sense. I agree.
I don't think they should be doing it. If Barco's on your team, to me, he's your fifth starter. I know Majeskian and I spring, but I don't look at him in that way. I look at him differently. They won't even let him go through the lineup a third time. They didn't last year. What makes you think they're going to do it this year? How many guys are going to get through the lineup a third time?
Well, we know Skeens will, and I imagine that one of Ashcraft and Chandler will as well, and Keller's done it plenty of times. He's gone deep into games. But the other three I worry about. But why is Majinski a so-called buffer? I don't even know what that means. What is he buffering?
Well, the way that I maybe didn't say it well enough is I feel like they're kind of trying to hide Majinski in that spot. In the three spot? In between Keller and Ashcraft, yeah. I don't have a good explanation for it. I don't. Don Kelly didn't really articulate it that much. Well, I must really like him. I actually like Majinski. Why not just say we think he's going to be our third starter?
But I like him more in a role in the bullpen for me. Who would be your fifth starter right now? Hunter Barco. Barco. He made the team. So I want a lefty in that rotation if I can get it. And if you believe in him, which I obviously do, then just give him an opportunity to do it. Shane Boz is going to pitch here on April 4th. Bob, you going to go to that game? I can't wait. Boz on the bump.
That's going to be interesting. So right now their bullpen includes Hunter Barco and Jose Urquidy. Two starting pitchers. Well, you definitely need at least one long guy. Right. But they also have Lawrence, who's really good, I think, and underrated. You have Mason Montgomery, who's a heater. Now whether or not he can control it is another... Do they have another lefty in there besides him?
Well, Barco's the third lefty. Okay. Well, Gregory Soto, but he's going to be pitching in the seventh grade. So Soto, Mattson, Santana. Mattson, he's in there. Mattson's in there too. Gregory Soto could be one of the best signings. When we look back at this season and say, wow. He better be. Yeah, I mean, he has the potential to be.
