Enjoy!Summary: Avada Kadavra are the two last words many people hear. The killing curse is known for its cruelty, but mostly for the fact that it is almost impossible to block. Harry Potter is the only known human in history to have survived the killing curse. So how can an unblock-able curse be blocked? Many people will say, "It can't be blocked! That's why they call it unblock-able." Those people do have a point. But so do I. I first thought the block would be a spell or rare immunity. I was wrong. The true block of the killing curse is gold. Here are some examples. First, in the fifth book, Dumbledore and Voldemort are having a duel in the Ministry of Magic. Because of all the killing curses flying around, Dumbledore enchants a large wizard statue to protect Harry and his friends. A killing curse does come their way, but it just bounces off the statue. That is because the statue was made of gold. In that same fight, a killing curse gets through Dumbledore's defenses and is heading straight for him. Fawks then joins the fight, but is quickly out of it when he is hit by a killing curse. Somehow, he survived. Phoenix colors are red and gold. In the fourth book when Harry and Voldemort are dueling in the graveyard, they lock spells. Harry is casting a dis-arming charm and Voldemort is casting the killing curse. When Harry won the battle for control, a golden dome appears. More gold! I think that was because the twin cores didn't want to fight. Harry's wand knew the defense and cast it. The same thing happened when he and Hagrid were on the motorbike flying to the Burrow in the seventh book. Voldemort cast the killing curse and Harry's wand acted and shot golden fire at Voldemort. Finally, again in the seventh book, Harry and his friends are in the Dursley's house debating the best way to get to their safe-houses. Hermione rips a hair off of Harry's head and puts it into a flask of polyjuice potion. It turned gold. That shows us that Harry's essence is gold. That is why he could survive the killing curse. Gold (and sometimes a good dose of sacrificial love) is a match for the killing curse.Gmail: [email protected]: @thepotterdiscussionWebsite: https://www.thepotterdiscussion.buzzsprout.comHaving anything you want to hear or say?
