Chapter 2: What is the significance of the location Rancho Grande for this episode?
It's a little hot. Yeah, there you go. I'll let you handle that. I can't hear anymore, so I'm not the best guy to judge it. There we go. Danny Klinksky, a little Danny Unleashed, brought to you by our friends at Easton Roofing. We're live at Rancho Grande. Great Mexican food here in Parkville, also in Liberty, also in Blue Springs. Don't forget, Saturdays you can come on out.
Well, this Saturday you can come out for the Kentucky Derby. But every Saturday, half-price apps, 11 to 4. Come get you some nachos. Shovel it in, Danny. Did you see Chad Corey just shoveling in the tacos over there?
I did not.
Oh, my God.
Why wouldn't you? You're in the place to do it.
He was not a man. He was an eating machine, I tell you, the way he was going through. Their tacos are wonderful. The crispy shells. It is absolutely fantastic. And Curtis, I did all the soccer talk. Curtis did all the eating.
Yeah. How are the tacos, Curtis? So good. I posted a picture of them. They're so good, I don't even need the salsa. The salsa here is great. Don't even need it.
I do. I love the chips and salsa here. It's killing me because I'm trying to do low-carb here for a little bit, you know, because I'm in peak physical condition.
That's how you keep yourself that way.

Chapter 3: What are Danny's thoughts on the current state of soccer?
Perfect.
It's easy to eat, but the flavor is fantastic.
It's like my goal. I'm going to have, like, different weights when I hit it. I'm coming to Rancho Grande to celebrate with, like, All right, you just lost 20 pounds. Let's put five on in one meal. This is the place. Come on out, Rancho Grande.
Back in the day, I used to go on diet. When I went on diets, I'd lose 30 pounds, and then I'd celebrate by going to Pizza Hut for the all-you-can-eat buffet and drink two pitchers of beer and eat a bunch of pizza and probably put on a third of the weight I just lost.
Well, Cinco de Mayo is coming, Danny. You want to shovel it in. That's right.
This is the place to do it.
Taco Tuesday meets Cinco de Mayo. Do you know the last time we had a Taco Tuesday slash Cinco de Mayo where we weren't told to stay home? Because the last one was in the midst of the pandemic. Wow. It's been 11 years. Wow. 11 years. On the day. Yes.
2015.
2015, the last time you could get out for Cinco de Mayo on a taco Tuesday. So I think it means you've got to eat twice as much, doesn't it?

Chapter 4: How is the Chiefs' draft class evaluated by Danny?
Easton Roofing, residential roofing repair and replacement. Lots of hail. Lots of storms been blowing through. You know what that means? A lot of out-of-town folks. I got the ring cam. Part of my ā it's not really a ring, but applause did it. But I can see it like that. Everyone understands what I mean. I have had no less than three different ā
Roofing trucks with people knocking on my door trying to tell me that I got a problem with my roof, which I don't. But if that's happening to you, do not fall for the guy who lives in New Mexico who chases storms all summer and is just going down to the local corner where there's day laborers and say, come on, hop in the truck. Here it is.
That is something that happens, and a lot of people end up in a bad situation. They say they can help you with the insurance. Not really. No, they can't. Insurance is kind of unique to each and every location. Honest communication, clear expectations.
That's what you get with Eastern Roofing, handling both insurance claims, retail roofing projects, built on integrity, communication, and quality workmanship, free damage inspection. So if you're not sure... Out of all the storms we've had, call Easton Roofing and be sure. 913-257-5426. Talk to a real live person 24-7. 365. And I can tell you that they do repairs, which is unique.
A lot of these companies, especially if someone's knocking on your door, they're selling brand new roof. And a lot of times it can be cheaper, and a lot of times the insurance, you do a brand-new roof, and the insurance goes, you could have done this with a repair, and you are out thousands. So don't mess around with what is your biggest investment, your home. Call Easton Roofing, 913-257-5426.
Joe and his team will help you out the way they've helped me out, helped my mom out, helped Danny out, helped thousands here in Kansas City out. Find them online at eastonroofing.com. Danny? By the way, I was talking there with Paul Carr. I heard much of it. How long do you think before the U.S. wins a World Cup? Men's World Cup.
You know the women kick ass like it's nobody's business. Yes. I will lean on math and say never. Never. Wow. Never? I mean, England, okay? England has not won the World Cup since 1966. Okay? England. So it's hard to do. I think the most is maybe four. It only happens once every four years. We're still probably not even close to the top ten soccer nations in the world.
So I'm going to say never, and I'll be dead probably if that is not true.
I mean, even if it's two World Cups from now, the players who will be on that team are likely in middle school or whatever. If that now?

Chapter 5: What are the key highlights from the Chiefs' draft picks?
Right, and they got beat in a game where, you know, Howard was out of this world in goal. They would have gotten beaten a million to nothing. Yeah. But, yeah, I mean, they've made a little bit of noise from time to time. I don't think they've gotten to the ā Last eight, maybe.
I don't think so. Well, I made the statement that they were 80 years away. Yeah. I think, and here's my reason why. I think you are, how long is a generation now? In this country, a generation is 30 years now, I think. I thought it was 20.
Well, that's what people say, but I think the average on how old you are when you have kids, I think people start in their late 20s and finish somewhere in their mid-30s. Probably 25, but it definitely ain't 20. I'll bet it's like 30, 31. I might be just thinking of my neighborhood, which may not be average or whatever, but whatever. Let's call it 30. I think you're at least two generations away.
I don't think until... Like you see, and I'm seeing more of it. Trust me, in my neighborhood, there's pickup soccer out at the school. There's, you know, adults and kids that are coming out with the little goals and playing like six on six or five on five. I'm seeing more of it, but not like you see on the black tops with basketball, right? Not even like you see throwing the football around.
And I think at some point soccer has to get down to where it's a sport that's accessible to more than just the suburbs.
Well, it is a sport you can play by yourself, so it really shouldn't be restricted like that.
The way you can shoot baskets, you can kick goals.
Yeah, I mean, you can kick the ball around. I mean, you see that all over Europe when you travel there, and you walk down the side streets or whatever, and the four kids will be just playing a little game of soccer. Right. And I think it's pretty certain that this sport will never be the most popular sport, and that's the advantage other countries have.
And some of these countries are very populous, too. It's not like they're, you know, the United States is a large country, but Brazil is a soccer power, and they've got, you know, it's a huge country. So I think it's very difficult.

Chapter 6: How do injuries impact the Chiefs' upcoming season?
I played for Chelsea. Christian Pulisic. Christian Pulisic. His dad was European. He plays for Juventus now. Yeah. His dad was European.
Well, you know, the guy who was the best American soccer player last year, he got hurt, and it looks like he's going to be healthy enough for the World Cup is Anthony Robinson. And he's English. I mean, he's flat English. But he plays for the American ā you know, he has one of his ancestors, the second generation.
But that's the thing. I think as we get that cross-pollination and as businesses become more global and you don't get transferred from Kansas City to St. Louis, you get transferred from Kansas City to Antwerp. Right. You know, and those ā I think as that hopefully continues, because I think that will mean there's some harmony in the world and things are working well together.
And we know that is ā It might take more than 80 years.
Yeah.
That is an up and down wave. I would say so. Right. For instance, my daughter and her husband live in Amsterdam. Yes. And I don't think they're going to have children. But if they did, their children would be raised in Holland, which is a big soccer country.
But there'd be a chance that her children would be NFL fans, too. That's part of what's going on with NFL over there. That's true. You know, so, like, the NFL gets brought over there. They would be soccer folks if her kids would come back and live here. Then you'd have soccer. You know, that's what I'm talking about. But I do think we're a ways away.
I mean, I just, I think we, and I think the other thing is we have to get. Well, we have to get. It can't be pay to play.
We also have to get a huge, it would behoove the American team to build on this by having a good World Cup this time. I mean, we got a gigantic bump from the World Cup in 94. That was 94. And that was an outstanding team. That had a group of ā and that team may have made the last eight. I can't remember exactly. But I don't think we've ā I'm sure we haven't made the final four.

Chapter 7: What are the implications of the Chiefs' recent draft decisions?
He's not starting right now. I mean, he's just not back to full fitness, and he was a mainstay on that team. There's another guy who was a potential striker. He has a long name, and it escapes me right now. He plays in Europe, and he just got hurt, and he has an ACL, and he's done. So we're taking some hits injury-wise.
I'm not so sure it was a great cycle as far as the quality of the team developing. A few years ago, there was the thought that this might be a golden generation of players who was coming to fruition. They had internal problems with one of the guys who has the potential to be the best player last year with his father, etc. So I guess I'm not optimistic right now, but it can come together.
They have an excellent coach. who's proven in world soccer, so maybe he can get it together and they can rise up and using home advantage and the spirit. But right now I would say maybe less optimistic than we might have been four years ago.
Yeah. Okay. Danny Klinkzell is with us. A little Danny Unleashed. We're live at Rancho Grande. We'll take a break. We'll turn the page. We'll talk some Chiefs draft. At the Twin Peaks, end of the hour answer, how many players began their NFL career with 10 consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons?
How many players? 10 consecutive 1,000?
To start his career.
Well, Jim Brown didn't do it. He had a 900 in there.

Chapter 8: What predictions does Danny make for the Chiefs' performance this season?
Eric Dickerson? Nope. Oh, yeah, the year he held out.
89 to 98.
89. Oh, Barry Sanders.
Barry Sanders. There you go.
I get Curtis Martin, but can't come up with Barry Sanders.
I get the hard one.
I know, which makes me dumb.
Enjoy that. Curtis Martin, 53 today.
Barry Sanders, for God's sake. You know, because the first year is the hard one. A lot of times guys won't get it. Like I said, Walter Payton, Emmitt Smith. Guys that put up these huge numbers don't get it the first year. But I know ā but Barry Sanders should be burned into all our brains because Christian Okoye beat him by 10 yards for the rushing title that year.
