exactly yeah don't check back to what we said but uh yeah it was so uh yeah i think even as the weekend went on i think even last night on our in-car insights i was asked to predict who would win uh i had ferrari charles leclerc just because starting on the front row we knew that they would likely start on the softs so we know how good the ferrari start is so you would anticipated Ferrari have a strong long run, get some clean air, disappears into the distance. The McLaren would fade a little bit. The Mercedes would be there or thereabouts. And that was it. But it completely didn't happen. I think intriguingly. I think McLaren don't quite understand what's happened and the absolute dominance of that car today, this weekend in Landon Norris' hands, seems to be, I think, a quirk we are seeing with these regulations and this season that you bring an upgrade.
which gives you a little bit more performance. It just seems to unlock something magical. And cars, when they get into the window, they absolutely fly. And I think that's what we've seen today, that just that car was in the window. Tyres were perfect. Energy deployment was perfect. It all seemed to work. Ferrari had the opportunities but it was just a messy weekend just things didn't click had the potential to win here I think absolutely no doubt that that car could have won here didn't happen and Max Verstappen I think it says a lot about the weekend that he's had a very difficult weekend tricky Red Bull lots of problems lots of complaining but superb drive from him he finishes second beats both Mercedes and both Ferraris I can sense Josh being very keen to jump in because didn't you predict a Lando Norris win in Car Insights

good race on a weekend where so many other drivers made mistakes and put themselves out of contention he just you know grabbed the bull by the horns and went with it and had a margin over Oscar Piastri all weekend yeah and Andrea Stella talked up Norris he just said it's the continuation of that trajectory of last year when he had to work really hard in the start of the season when he was struggling said the confidence has taken a step he's got better with doing the tools more in control of his emotions he said actually look at although he did push a little bit when he was stuck behind Piastri he wasn't getting distracted or getting too emotional he was just stated his case and cracked on with it so uh yeah that was uh properly impressive from Norris and actually this whole season's been pretty strong from uh Norris he did have that brief wide moment at turn four in the race that's the one thing uh that leapt out but I have to say John obviously some people thought the McLaren were playing things down but Andrea Stella genuinely didn't expect the McLaren to be the fastest in the race and I asked him about this after the race and he said well
