All right, we are back here on the Ringer NFL show. Welcoming in from Melbourne, Tom Pelicero, and of course Billy Gill joining me as well. Tom, I just saw you on my you know big screen TV here like a an hour ago, and now you're on a Zoom with me. This is amazing.
Crystal clear picture on Netflix, right? Everybody uh everyone was texting me. The the sound and the video quality was immaculate. Um it was honestly, it was a a total, total blast the entire day. Um, just being in that stadium where you got a hundred thousand people, whether they're singing along to that song that everyone seemed to know by the Jonas brothers at halftime or singing along to the the national anthem. And honestly, like being fired up, like there was real energy in the stadium. And everyone was in their seats, you know, well before kickoff. It was um it was just a it was a really unique experience. Um everything went off without a hitch. The city did great with it. The league did great with it.
Um and obviously the 49ers uh did great with it as well.
Yeah, Billy. I mean, we we gotta give it up for our guy. T Tom, was that I was gonna ask you now, we'll get to the game. But I have to ask you, was that the first time you've done sideline reporting? Cause I was trying to remember. I should probably know this. Have you done that before or was this your debut?
I have done it before. Um, I was on the call actually for the Vikings Colts, uh, largest comeback in NFL history from thirty three nothing down. Uh I was I was on the sideline for that one. Um and I've done, you know, senior bowl and things like that. Definitely not international, definitely not uh with quite this uh this audience level. So I'm just glad it didn't fall flat on my face. Um it was it was a ton of fun. I mean the people with Netflix have just been sensational with everything, you know, just the way that everything is put together. And um yeah, I mean it was it was just it was cool. It was It was really cool being a being a part of this thing.
Billy, our our guy was just, I mean, he looked like a natural. He looked like he was born to do this. He's getting the information to us quickly. He's not, you know, using too many words. He's giving us he's kinda like giving us little nuggets on Miles Garrett, where I'm like, wait, I didn't hear that nugget on Miles Garrett until the broadcast. He's pounding meat pies at the end. I mean, what a performance.
How was the meat pie, by the way, Tom? It looked m very messy. I saw I got it all over your papers too. Thank goodness it was after the game. You probably didn't need those anymore.
Well, you know, the strategy there was first of all, I I didn't plan to do it, but I watched the postgame ceremony where they gave him the kangaroo coats.
