Guys, you know what time it is? Eleven. I've got a plasma TV and the Rubin Report at eleven. This is basically my Super Bowl. Previous. On the Ruben. I hate Marxism, I hate communism.
Dave Rubin 0:10
That man should be president of the United States.
Brooke Taylor 0:12
Some people did something. I

hate her accent. Imagine what it will be like the day after the midterms if the Democrats have taken power of the House and the Senate. And we are Europe. And then we're gonna need a German lesbian to fix all of this stuff. You always have the German lesbians ready to go and find

All right, guys, it is September tenth, twenty twenty six. I'm Dave Rubin. This is the Rubin Report and obviously uh It's gonna be a b a bit of a a a somber start to the show today and I'm guessing that you're probably feeling exactly what I'm feeling and what I know everyone in this room with me. is feeling you know, we all by we did not coordinate our outfits today, we all ended up wearing black today, one way or another, and I think that's probably uh not a coincidence. Uh of course it's the one year anniversary of the assassination, of the murder of a great American and my friend Charlie Kirk. Um I was sitting at this desk One year ago and about two hours from now, uh, when I saw the news. Um I remember I was actually in my office when I was I saw a text that he got shot, not that he was dead.
Dave Rubin 1:38
I'll never forget. I was just walking out of my office standing at the top of the stairs. It was a group text. Um and uh I was scheduled on Fox Business um about 45 minutes from then, I think. And I was on Fox Business. And I had my phone on my desk and while I was live on air, I saw something pop up uh that Charlie Kirk was dead, and I and it hadn't been announced publicly, at least uh that I had seen on Fox. I mean, it was literally just happening that second, the announcement. And I remember thinking that I even though I saw it and I was live on television, I did not want to say it. I didn't want to I didn't know if that was that would have made me the first person to say it. I I just did not even want to.
Dave Rubin 2:17
I didn't want to believe it. And subsequently, obviously, you know, this has been, it's been a very weird year since the death of Charlie. You know, the sort of obvious stuff of a certain set of terrible people celebrating his death. That, you know, that we that's kind of baked in these days to things, right? As everything's become so politicized. But to see so much of the infighting on the right and to realize, and I didn't even realize it as someone that knew Charlie. Well and worked together and went to college campuses and did turning point events and all those things. I didn't even realize not only how great he was, how transformative he was, how truly one of a kind he was, uh, but also that he was he was this incredible glue that was holding so many competing interests together, right?
Dave Rubin 2:59
I'm always talking about the big tent. And MAGA created a big tent, and that's that's obviously because of Donald Trump, but then Charlie did. The groundwork on that clearly in the online world. And then subsequently after he died, we've seen we've just seen so many people on the right go bananas, attack his legacy, attack his wife, all of these things. So if you haven't seen it, we did put up a video. Is it it's on YouTube and Rumble already, or is it just on social? It's it's okay, it's everywhere already. We did put up a video that I shot yesterday. It's a five-minute just me directing. to camera sharing a few more of my feelings and a little bit of our history. So you can get that you can get that on YouTube and Rumble and it's it's on social and
Dave Rubin 3:40
Twitter and Instagram and all that stuff. I just want to share a couple other images and one video, and then we'll dive into the show. And we actually have a great show for you today, and we tried to frame it around some of Charlie's ideas and honor him, I think, in a way that he would like to be honored. Just a couple images of me and Charlie over the years. What you're seeing there, that's that is our first sit-down.
