If it's a trade... It's not going to be Dan Milstein who's going to be announcing the trade. It can only be regarding a contract of one of his players.
And who's it going to be? And it had to be Demidov. The Canadians could have signed Demidov as of today, and they did. They had until mid-September to sign him to a max eight-year contract. And we all figured that that's exactly what they wanted to do. They did it with Slavkoski. They did it with Caulfield. They did it with Lane Hudson. They did it with Noah Dobson. And we figured that they were going or wanted to do it with Ivan Demidov. But some were saying, well, the way the cap has gone up and the way some of the salaries are going, Demidov shouldn't do that. He should sign a bridge. His agents should sign a bridge, and he's going to have some good years, and then he's going to break the bank. And what the Canadians were able to do with all of those players that we talked about was convince them to sign as soon as possible and convince them to leave money on the table.
Why? Why? Because they sold them on the idea that if they were going to do so, and everyone was going to leave money on the table, that A, they weren't going to be alone. It was going to be a culture thing. And B, and more importantly, by doing so, it would give the Montreal Canadiens a lot of flexibility going forward to be able to add other pieces to their team to have as deep...
