Well, hello again, everybody, and welcome back to the Star Wars Underworld Podcast, your weekly source for all the latest breaking Star Wars news, reviews, and discussion. And this week, we are continuing our deep dive into the Mandalorian and Grogu, discussing the visuals. We're going to talk... about the visual feast that we all saw in theaters a couple months ago we're going to talk about how they made some of those effects talk about the different techniques talk about some of the new things we saw we're going to get into that in depth tonight we're also going to break down some of the breaking news out of san diego comic-con an event i am desperately sad not to be at this year especially given one of the things that was just announced.
And we'll answer some of your questions in another iconic, beloved, terrific edition of Ask the SWU. First, though, introductions are in order in case you're new to the show or you've forgotten who we are. That can happen. My name is Dominic Jones, and with me, as always, it's the founder of the Star Wars underworld, Ben Hart, the Star Wars guy.
How's it going, everybody? It's good to be here, and it's good to be here on San Diego. I would say San Diego Comic-Con Eve, but no, we're well into this. And it's happening and it's still exciting. Yes, we want to be there. Yes, it's really there. Yes, do we hate everyone that's there right now because we're jealous of them? Absolutely. But it's still very exciting. Con season is exciting and SDCC is upon us. And yeah, so we've already got some reveals like within the last 30 minutes, hour, like some very exciting stuff we're going to get into. So I'm very excited about all of that.
Yeah. Knowing that I wasn't going, I'd sort of like built up a little wall around myself to know to sort of be like, yeah, to not know anything about what was going on at Comic-Con because like I missed going. And I went for about 10 years. I really, really enjoyed it. And I do miss going. And I'd almost forgotten that it was actually this weekend. had almost gotten to that point where i'd forgotten i got a message uh this morning from uh from our friend cory who just said oh mrs having you here at comic-con i'm like yeah i miss being there too also it started uh but now that we've had like a full day you know it's good to see everybody out there having fun that's ultimately what it's all about but we're gonna start with a piece of breaking news and it actually
relates to something that we talked about on the podcast a couple weeks ago a couple weeks ago we were talking about there was this panel that was all about the lucas museum of narrative art uh george wasn't going to be there but matt senreich and seth green were going to be on that panel and where we were joking like what could happen at this panel and i said They're going to announce that they're going to have a theater at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art where they show all the episodes of Star Wars detours that never got released. To be clear, I was joking. I thought I was saying something ridiculous that was never going to happen. Well, that panel just wrapped up in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, and lo and behold...
Seth Green and Matt Sendrick have announced that Star Wars Detours select episodes of Star Wars Detours will be screened exclusively at the Lucas Museum.
So, man, it's happening. What a time.
