Chapter 1: What are the allegations against Diddy?
The following episode explores a number of allegations regarding the artist Diddy. He denies all charges and has pled not guilty to sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The biggest secret in the entertainment industry that really wasn't a secret at all has finally been revealed to the world.
At the height of his career, Sean Diddy Combs had it all. It seemed like everything Diddy touched turned to gold. Now the once untouchable hip-hop mogul is fighting for his life as he faces multiple federal charges in New York, including sex trafficking and allegedly running a criminal enterprise.
Music mogul and rapper Sean Diddy Combs has faced four different lawsuits in recent weeks alleging sexual assault. I'm DailyMail.com journalist Marjorie Hernandez. And over the last six months, I've been investigating this incredible story and speaking to the people in the eye of the storm.
Welcome to the trial of Diddy.

Chapter 2: What recent developments have occurred in Diddy's case?
Hey, I'm Kayla Brantley, reporter at large for Daily Mail in Manhattan.
And I'm Marjorie Hernandez, DailyMail.com's West Coast news editor.
And welcome to episode 26 of The Trial of Diddy. Give or take a week or so, we're six months into this mad adventure and truly what a journey it's been. When we launched back at the beginning of October last year, Diddy had only been in the MDC for a little over two weeks and everything was brand new. And since then, Marjorie, a lot has happened.
Too many things. And thankfully, we have been able to keep up with everything. And as it was, but probably doesn't feel quite so new now. So when we began this podcast, he was facing 12 charges. And as of today, March 12th, he is facing more than 100 different lawsuits dating back into the 1990s.
The very latest suit was just filed two weeks ago by Kendra Haffney, who in 2007 appeared on VH1's reality show, I Want to Work for Diddy. Haffney says she was invited to attend an after party of the show where Combs offered her a drink that she accepted before immediately beginning to feel the effects.
She alleged she ultimately passed out and woke up in her bed at the show's house with Diddy sitting close to her. Haffney claims that she knew she had been sexually assaulted and raped. She also claims that when Diddy took the cast across the country to LA, he assaulted her again.
And Diddy has always vehemently denied all the allegations he's faced literally since we started six months ago. He's pleaded not guilty after charges were initially filed. Diddy himself has called the allegations sickening and has said they quote, were made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday.

Chapter 3: How many lawsuits is Diddy currently facing?
His lawyers told dailymail.com quote, Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process. In court, the truth will prevail that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone, man or woman, adult or minor.
And back in mid-February, Diddy's lawyers filed a motion to dismiss an aspect of the federal indictment in which he is accused of, quote, transportation to engage in prostitution, claiming that no white person has ever been the target of a remotely similar prosecution.
A few weeks ago, Diddy claimed he's been singled out because of his race and is being, quote, prosecuted for conduct that regularly goes unpunished because he is, quote, a powerful black man. So, Marjorie, you've been deep into this story for a very long time now. What have you learned up to this point and what specifically sticks in your mind when you think of this case?
Well, you know, Kayla, what really sticks in my mind is the tape scene around the world, which is of course the 2016 video of Cassie Ventura, who is of course Diddy's former girlfriend as she was trying to flee that hotel room in LA.
Chapter 4: What shocking video involved Diddy and Cassie Ventura?
And for those who have forgotten, the short video was released by CNN and it showed Diddy throwing things at Cassie and we see her being dragged away by her hair across the hotel hallway. You know, as she tried to escape. So it was very shocking footage. Of course, also including her lawsuit was pretty much the beginning of the end for Diddy and Sean Combs' bad boy empire as we knew it.
Yeah, and I think since then, it's like that was the big shocking visual aspect. And since then, there's been a lot of allegations, a lot of lawsuits, as we've said, like over 100.
As you mentioned that since his criminal case, there have been at least 100 lawsuits filed against him. And it seems like there's been alleged victims coming out every week. And it's been nonstop since we started this podcast.
And we've had some attorneys who represent some of those victims on our pod, including Lisa Bloom, of course, known for representing other sexual assault victims against other infamous men like Jeffrey Epstein. Of course, you know, Diddy's team is fired back and has said nothing. he's innocent and Diddy will prove his innocence in court. So we shall see what happens there.
And not only Diddy, now Jay-Z and other famous folks have been pulled into this case. And of course, we're talking about one of the Jane Does who filed the case against Diddy and Jay-Z. And she claimed that she was 13 years old when she was sexually assaulted by Jay-Z and Diddy, while another unknown celebrity witness.
But that case actually has since been dismissed with prejudice, meaning that she can't refile that case. But one of the things that came out of that that I found interesting was the fact that Jay-Z has now distanced himself from Diddy altogether. Everybody knows that they've worked together for years since the 90s.
So the fact that Jay-Z's attorney, Spiro, had said, look, it was a working relationship, nothing more. That was pretty shocking to me.
Right. Everyone has known them as close friends. Yeah.
You see them at the parties. Every party was always Jay-Z and Diddy together. So that was kind of shocking that. You know, since all these allegations came out that pretty much that friendship is done. Of course, Jay-Z has denied any and all allegations that he was involved in sexually assaulting anyone with Diddy.

Chapter 5: What is the connection between Jay-Z and Diddy amidst these allegations?
Welcome back to The Trial of Diddy.
Yeah, Marjorie, and also this week, I was very shocked to hear this news, but 30-year-old comedian, actor, and influencer Drewski and 32-year-old NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., they both found themselves named in a new sexual assault lawsuit against Diddy. Drewski and Beckham have both vehemently denied any involvement in the alleged 2018 incident.
The claimant, her name is Ashley Parham, and she filed her initial lawsuit against Diddy last October, accusing him of violently gang raping her at a house in Orinda, California, back in March 2018. The filing also alleges kidnapping and sex trafficking, while Diddy was also previously accused of sexually assaulting Parham with a television remote.
All right, now Parham, as well as two other plaintiffs, a Jane Doe and a John Doe, have updated the suit to include Beckham and Druski, who have also denied, like you said, the allegations in a statement that was posted online. Druski wrote, quote, the allegation is a fabricated lie. I wasn't a public figure in 2018.
I was broke living with my mom without any connections to the entertainment industry at the time of this allegation. So the inclusion of my name is truly outlandish. Went on to say that my heart breaks for actual victims of abuse, but I'm fully confident that the evidence will expose this falsehood and the individuals who are maliciously trying to game the legal system to peddle false narratives.

Chapter 6: How have relationships in the music industry changed due to Diddy's case?
Yeah, and Odell Buckham Jr. had his own reply that was a little more casual. He said, quote, boy, I'll tell you what, this world makes absolutely no sense. I am covered by God. He will prevail. I know who I am. I know who you are. Keep your head. That name will be cleared. Shit's stupid.
In a further twist, Maui police chief John Pelletier has been accused of helping to cover up Parham's alleged gang rape. It's been alleged that Pelletier, who at the time was a Las Vegas police captain, posed as a sheriff's deputy in California. The alleged victim claims that after the alleged attack, Pelletier instructed her to go home and offered her no help or medical care.
It's also been claimed that Pelletier gave an envelope to a neighbor, which she believed to be full of cash.
Now, the filing alleges that Pelletier later took Parham and another plaintiff at gunpoint to his home, restrained them, refused to let them call an attorney, and made various moves to cover up the kidnapping.
Pelletier has strenuously denied all the allegations and released a statement that including this rebuttal, quote, let me be clear, the allegations made against me are completely false, and I have not been formally served with any legal paperwork.
The Maui Police Department also released the following statement Monday evening, quote, Chief Pelletier has no connections whatsoever to any individuals named in the lawsuit. The allegations suggesting his involvement are entirely unfounded.
We are confident that the evidence will demonstrate these claims to be false and will expose those who are deliberately trying to manipulate the legal system to spread misleading narratives." What a week. And we're recording this for 54 days until Diddy's trial starts on May 5th. And there's still no signs of slowing up.
Nope. And we will be here as long as there's updates. We will be here. Honestly, we thought that we were going to have to take a break until the trial because we didn't think that there was going to be anything else to talk about. But there's so many more updates, Marjorie.
So many, which for us is a great thing. And, you know, we like to keep everybody informed. So we'll keep doing that until the duration of this trial, I guess.
