Dr. Varun Verma is an internal medicine-trained physician, hospitalist, global health leader, and start-up founder with a very different career path than most. He has navigated a number of transitions including a move from Australia to the States, switching from a top ophthalmology residency to a field aligned with his life mission, and serving in a global health initiative in Nepal. He is now the co-founder of AndWise, a start-up enabling physicians to keep their financial lives in order so they can best serve their patients and communities. By embracing change and staying true to our personal values and purpose as he has done, we can be empowered to make a difference as physicians in the clinical and non-clinical healthcare spaces.
