Katherine J. Cramer is the author of The Politics of Resentment: Rural Consciousness in Wisconsin and the Rise of Scott Walker (University of Chicago Press, 2016). Cramer is professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and director of the Morgridge Center for Public Service. Do rural voters have an identity?
