Anusuya Alva was a swimmer in her school days who won many national level championships before made a switch into triathlon in 1991. She won the National triathlon championships in 1991 and 1992. She brought home a bronze medal in the Asian Triathlon championships in 1992 and took part in two triathlon world championships, one in Canada and one in Australia with creditable performances. She got back to the master's swimming circuit and won many National titles in the last 10 years. During the pandemic she restarted her cycling and now enjoys both cycling and swimming with great success.
