So she started making videos as a hobby. 3 years in, she now had 2 daughters, was back at work and had no more room for YouTube in her hectic life, so she took a few months off. But during that time she kept getting caring messages from her subscribers. That encouraged her to make a comeback and show up consistently, and she grew steadily as a result. A year later she launched a video that was a hit! It blew up her subscriber numbers from 60k to 140k! What a jump! “I want a community that enjoys my personality. I’m not trying to be something not authentic just to gain a lot of subscribers really fast.” - Lisa J Makeup Lisa’s audience is made up of women of all ages, but she gets a lot of engagement from ladies in their 40s and older.
