We chat with journalist Alexandra Talty on what it's like to flee a country during a global pandemic. Alexandra shares her experience of trying to get home to the United States, from Lebanon, as airport cancel flights, airlines fall into chaos and borders close. Alex was trying to get back home during the Corona Virus pandemic, a global health crisis that has had a disastrous impact on public health and the economy. She describes her ordeal in detail and provides advice and tips on what to do if you need to leave a country in crisis quickly. We also put a call out in the show for people to donate to Unicef who are on the ground working really hard to protect affected children and families from Covid-19. Unicef is helping to prevent the spread of Coronavirus by supplying vital medical supplies (such as gloves and masks), educating communities and implementing prevention campaigns.
