So he is facing new charges and his bond situation has drastically changed. There's another case in Colorado that I haven't mentioned before that's very unusual to me, and it's really not getting as much media attention as I would expect. And the case I'm talking about is the murder of Lindsay Barnett, a teacher in Lakewood. The husband, Patrick, is apparently claiming that he woke up, found his wife, Lindsay, deceased in the shower, and it appears that she had taken her own life by cutting her throat.
And he also apparently mentioned to police that she had been suffering from postpartum depression. You can kind of see the weird coincidences with this, right? So now I want to go into more detail about each of those cases, starting with the chunkier ones like the Lindsay Clancy jury interviews and everything that's happened in the aftermath of the mistrial that was declared. Like when the foreperson said in the interview about the holdout juror, quote, he admitted he had reasonable doubt and I started filling out the forms. I was so excited. But the holdout juror added, quote, but I'm still not going to say that she's not guilty by reason of insanity. The holdout juror has not given an interview as of the time I'm recording this. However, since the interview conducted by these three jurors, Two additional jurors have spoken out, one male juror and another female juror who was apparently defending the holdout male juror. These three jurors in the interview said that they argued so much during deliberations that there was some name calling and that the six alternate jurors could hear them, I guess they were in a room nearby,
and thought that they were fighting a lot, but they were determined to come to a verdict. And those deliberations led three jurors to be persuaded to find Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity.
