Oh, have I got a case for you guys? DNA for the winds are so fun. It's so exciting to see old crimes solved. Yeah. This is uh Yolanda Herrera. Yolanda was twenty three in April of nineteen eighty one. She was recently divorced, single and the only child of her parents, and on Saturday, april eleventh, she was She was last seen leaving a place called Johnny's Inn. It was a bar in the Universal City area of San San Antonio, Texas. She left the bar on foot and uh had according to people who'd been at the bar with her, she was just Going home. Two days later. As you do. Mm should do. Unfortunately, uh Yolana never made it home, and two days later, on Monday, april thirteenth, nineteen eighty one, Uh a couple of kids that were walking to school discovered her naked body in a field.

No. In Universal City. Her feet was uh her body was several feet off of the roadway in a location that wasn't really available to passing motorists. Only somebody on foot would probably have seen her. Uh yeah. She had been badly beaten. Her autopsy res uh said that she had died from multiple blunt force trauma uh injuries. And she had been sexually assaulted.

Now way back in nineteen eighty one. Investigators. It did the thing that keeps solving these cold cases, even though They didn't really have the uh DNA resources then or really even the knowledge, but they preserved all of the DNA that they could.
