Aniyah Blanchard was born June 22nd, 2000 in Homewood, Alabama to her parents, Angela Harris and Elijah Blanchard. Once she graduated from Homewood High School, she followed her brother to the Southern Union State Community College in Oblika, Alabama, a little over two hours away from her hometown of Homewood.
Like I said, she was incredibly close to her older brother, so it made sense that she would go to the same college as him to be as close to him as possible. At that point, she wasn't totally sure what she wanted to do with her life yet. She just wanted to get her general education courses out of the way before she considered exactly what she wanted to do. Whether it would be art or education, maybe business. Either way, no matter what path she decided to take on in life, she was motivated to be successful and to make something of herself. Now, on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019, 19-year-old Anaya went to go visit her mother and stepfather at home. She told him earlier that day that she was pretty tired before dropping off her brother at the home.
She then left sometime before midnight that same night. she had been messaging her friend via snapchat saying that she was going to be meeting up with a man that night who she had met through a dating app now immediately some red flags were thrown because her roommate just thought that these messages didn't really seem like her i'm not exactly sure why but right away these messages between the two made her feel a little bit uneasy so when she hadn't come back home that night and hadn't been in contact with anyone after that her roommate and her family were immediately panicked this was incredibly unusual and out of character for anaya so right away her family reported her missing to the auburn police department and right away police set out on their search to find out what happened to anaya so by october 26th a resident of the area had reported a car that had been found at the park place apartment complex in montgomery
at the 6100 block of Boardwalk Boulevard near the Atlanta Highway. This person stated that they had noticed the car that previous Thursday, so the 24th, and it's just been sitting there ever since. When police arrived to take a look, they found a 2017 black Honda CRV, which they did quickly match to belonging to Anaya.
