Transitional Relationships: Relationships that only last for a relatively short time. They seem real and are often so enjoyable. However, they are gone as fast as they came, or they do not last as long as we would have liked. These either "are" or can be considered transitional relationships. Sure, sometimes this is just a coping mechanism to repackage relationships of old. But think about it. We have several jobs before we settle into a career. We will have many more relationships before we have ones that last and matter more. For whatever reason, the relationship is over - without announcing it or declaring it. You may still work around the other person, but something has definitely changed. Instead of using this to fuel insecurities, just realize that it was transitional. See all that you learned and keep the sensation of all the good times, etc. Do not the good memories away or deem them insincere. You are the one deciding how this will be filed in your life.
