10 Nov 2023

Description

I sit down with Grace McGovern, Arizona's top female junior golfer, along with Adam and Grace’s father Sean. With a recent victory at the USGA Four Ball Qualifier under her belt, Gracie takes us through her golfing journey, from her first forays on the course at only four years old and early breakthrough performances, to her first major qualification at the Junior Amateur Tournament in Maryland at the age of fifteen. We explore the highs and lows of Gracie's golfing career, including how she stuck through physical strain a couple of times between tournaments, and her experience playing her toughest course yet at the Polo Golf Junior Classic. We also delve into Gracie's training regimen, her go-to equipment, and the importance she places in honing her short game. Gracie also shares what led her to Texas Christian University, as well as the unique challenges that come with transitioning to college golf. We also touch on the importance of a balanced lifestyle, drawing from Kobe Bryant's mamba mentality, and Gracie’s prospects in the world of golf.
