Two Strike Noise - A Baseball History Podcast

Episode 154 - Louisville Sluggers

22 Feb 2022

Description

This week, we found what might just be the craziest story on the back of a baseball card ever. Ricky Jordan and his broken jaw led to what might be the worst card back of all time. We dig into the mail bag to get more info about Rick Cerone and his, what we thought was a long lost, music career. How will it compare to Ruben Sierra’s? Our main topic this week has to do with bats, specifically the most iconic bat-maker of all time, Louisville Slugger. From it’s humble beginnings for a single batter to being synonymous with the game itself to all but disappearing in today’s game. Plus, some gifted 1990 Donruss for this week’s Wax Pack Heroes gives us some great names.  Twitter - @twostrikenoise Instagram - @twostrikenoise Two Strike Noise on YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvh7epD-mqT9qCIV7CNqhog Twitch - https://www.twitch.tv/twostrikenoise E-mail - [email protected] We pull ALOT of commons in Wax Pack Heroes. If you've got those Tom Foley or Ernest Riles cards just sitting around you can donate those commons to charity and maybe spark a child's interest in baseball and collecting.
