Why are Jordana and Jared celebrating a birthday at the start of the episode?
Oh oh what is whatever what am I doing? What's happening? Oh my God. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear.
Uh A Happy bird. Well
Yeah. Wow. That is I feel like JFK and you're Marilyn Monroe. Hello, welcome back to the U Up Podcast. I'm Jordana Abraham.
And I am Jared Freed. It is so good to be back here with you, Jordana. How are ya? Happy birthday. Great to see ya.
Thank you. I'm great. You're great. Yes, I'm great. Babies good. Babies uh babies are good. Yes, they're home with their father who is watching them on his own.
Okay. The way that sentence sounded, it sounded like Mike's in trouble. No. They're home with their father. Well,
it's quite just I I
I you know like mom tone?
Yeah.
That was mom tone. That was like
this is his first like full day with Oh really? F alone. Alone.
Okay. How do you feel about that?
I'm a little nervous for him because I when I do a full day I haven't done that many full days alone either. And um it's a lot of work.
It listen, it's a two person job. I w I watched I watched it all. I did nothing. I didn't offer any help.
I Emily did. Emily did. Emily did.
I watched it in awe.
You're like an I'll hold your like sweater. Well, whatever. I did as little
as humanly. I I just sat there with a pen watching everything, taking notes, and the twins, uh the twibblings. Okay, is a two person job. I don't envy Mike right now. I'm sure he's doing a great job. I'm sure well it's
funny, but is it? What is
it? Toxic father syndrome? What's the toxic TFS Weaponized Incompetence. Incompetence. Yeah.
Weaponized incompetence. Toxic father syndrome.
That's what they should call it. Toxic Father Syndrome.
Um like toxic shock syndrome, which is what happens when you leave a tampon in for too long.
Yeah. This is when you leave a a baby with
her a husband in charge of children for too long. Yeah. No, it's again, like I he's doing a great job. He's but it's very funny because this is his first day and I had to come in for this recording.
Yeah.
So he's alone with them. And um right before we started at like nine thirty, so he's been with them for now like an hour and a half. Two an hour and a half in, he's already put them in he's already built a cage for them.
When I say
a cage, I
mean
like explain
cage, so parent services. They are in they are caged babies. They are
in they are in um Ron's old dog pen. I I think that's not not crate. It's not a crate. No, this is a dog
this is a pen. I gotta say, this is it's funny, it's like how mo I I think that's like a fun Instagram series, how moms do things, how dads do things. Yes. Like you have probably your way and he has his way and he's like, Oh no, his is a functional like we got this cage.
Eight hours we'll just Yeah,
we'll throw 'em in the pen. Right. And then I can work on my
fantasy draft.
Right, I got a I got a football thing I can do. I can go swim some laps in the pool, take Ron on a walk. I like that Ron's on the outside of the cage, the kids are on the inside. Well it's
kinda like who are we keeping well that's the issue with the dog is like I th I understand why he did the cage because you have to keep them aw the r Ron from like jumping on them. Right. So it's like I'm not you're you're half keeping the dog out and half keeping them in. And now they're like mobile. So
they're moving more?
They're moving a lot more, so you gotta keep an eye on them.
So this is what it gets
almost crawling.
Oh my god. I wanna see them crawl. They're the cutest babies, I gotta say. I I I I melt when I'm gonna be able to get it. I'm just saying that. I am just saying that. Um I I have learned over the course of my life, if I'm to give advice to younger men, when your friends, female friends are having babies, just respond to every story. Just say, Oh my God, so cute, the cutest. But you do
think they're really cute. I do. No, no, no, no. But for me, it's real, right?
I do melt when I see the babies in any scenario. And I know my mom does too. She's like, Oh yeah, your mom responds to every scenario. And she means that every time you come up.
Oh it's very sweet. She like climaxes, Oh the babies She gives a very sweet and then she's like specific response.
