But it just finished airing. We just watched it. A lot of shit happened. We're going to talk about it. All right. So that just happened. A lot happened. Let's start with our Lemon Cates. We'll go in the same order. How do we feel about this episode? What do you think, me all?
Um, you know, I enjoyed watching it. I think it was the first episode that I actually felt some like real tension. Um, obviously that's because I'm biased in Allison's direction. And I was like, I'm not totally sure she gets out of, uh, Heron Hall because there's no story reason that says she needs to. Um, but we are going to be in uncharted territory in a couple of ways. And yeah, I'd You know, I've decided that the farther these shows, like throne shows, get from George's word and the source and the more complicated they get, they develop this kind of scum of silliness that you have to kind of like... You can accept it, you can scrape it off and see if there's anything good underneath, or you can just be like, this is dumb.
And for me, there's still enough worth scraping away to see what's underneath. Oh, I also thought that... I mean, the Reina plotline is bizarre, and I don't understand it at all. But I did really like seeing, like, a family fight, like, kind of manifested through dragons. Right? Because that felt pretty relatable to me, I'm not going to lie.
I was like, what the fuck are they doing and where are they doing it? But this is fun. Yeah. Also, we do have an episode title now. I'm looking at the HBO site. It is called The Dragon in Winter. That's what this episode is called.

All right, Kevin, what'd you think?
Um, I don't know. 4.25. It was fun. I do feel like they started to weave their storylines together, back together a bit. Um, This was probably the first time I did feel like some of the teleportation with the dragons was a little noticeable. I know it has been for other people in the past, but the dragons do still take a little time to get from place to place. And that didn't seem to be the case this episode. It kind of... had the vibes of an infamous episode of Game of Thrones that had the dragons flying, breaking the speed of sound and such. But otherwise, I thought the stories came back together a bit decently. Some of the sex stuff continues to be weird in this show. Yeah, not everything's an Oedipal complex.
Yeah, I thought it was weird, too. The travel stuff was a little crazy, especially because we open up the season, and then it took Reyna forever to get to the Vale with Sheepstealer. I don't know. It's all over the place. It's all right. The flights don't always arrive on time. Air traffic control in Westeros clearly sucks. What did you think, Katie?
I struggled with this episode. I'll give it a 2.5 because I do think there were some good scenes. I think the final scene with Ulf and Ormund is really terrific. I felt like the Aemond-Alicent stuff is at least very consistent. I could feel the through line from previous seasons. A lot of characters, though, felt really just out of character. I thought Misario was all over the place in this episode in a way that I found difficult to reconcile with who she's been all season. I feel like Rhaenyra, the writing is just kind of floundering with her. And yeah, I mean, we got a dragon fight. I was really scared for Syrax. I was like, oh shit, this might be it for her.
